Jeremy Clarkson updates fans on Clarkson's Farm series four following rumours show was axed

The third season has just been released on Amazon Prime Video

Clarkson's Farm season three has been released on Amazon Prime Video to universal applause with the third outing of the show following in the successful footsteps of its two predecessors.

And with that, questions have immediately been asked about the future of the show.

Taking us back to the Diddly Squat Farm once again, the third instalment has so far shown us Jeremy's attempts to diversify his farm during a cost of living crisis fuelled by war between Russia and Ukraine.

It has also seen us say goodbye to one of Clarkson's most beloved animals, and watch the moment Jeremy is told beloved farmhand Gerald is given a devastating cancer diagnosis.

The first half of the third season was released on 3 May, with the second four episodes set to be released on Prime Video this Friday (10 May).

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Clarkson wrote: "Thank you all for sending such kind words about Clarkson’s Farm season three.

"I know it’s tough to watch in places but that’s farming sometimes: brutal."

He then went on a bit of a Q&A with those replying about the season.

One person asked how he manages to actually farm around the filming, saying: "I’ll never understand how you lot manage to do all the farming, plus making sure it's entertaining, plus go through such hard moments like with baroness and the piglets, and yet you still find a way to carry on with it all."

Replying, Clarkson said: "The truth is: we film everything and then a team of editors sift through all the footage to make the show. They are very very clever people."

The topic of the fourth season then came up, with one X user disappointed that season three 'was the final season'.

They said: "Criminal that it's the final series. Best show on any platform!"

The post is seemingly in reference to the furore that erupted after Clarkson's Sun newspaper column about Meghan Markle went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Jezza was ruled to have discriminated against Markle, with him saying he hated The Duchess of Sussex on a 'cellular level'. He later apologised.

At the time, Amazon bosses said they were 'shocked and disappointed' in Jeremy's words, with reports that the show could end after the third season.

Dan Grabiner, then head of originals for Amazon in the UK and Europe, said: "It’s a very complex topic but we’re not interrupting production of the current season... we get messages from farmers around the world who just love the show, saying they have never really seen their world properly reflected on-screen before, which is amazing.

"It’s a hell of a lot bigger than Jeremy Clarkson."

Responding to the recent post, Clarkson put them firmly in their place about season three being the end of the show.

He posted on X: "It's not [the end]. We are filming season four right now."

As you can expect, fans of the show clocked on to the post and were beyond happy.

One said: "Whohoo! So proper, Jeremy. My husband will be so happy to hear this. We love watching over and over."

A second posted: "I was worried it'd be over after season three. Hope this series never ends."

And a third wrote: "Keep it coming!"
