Kaleb Cooper makes major mistake as Clarkson's farm manager that could cost thousands

Things are going from bad to worse on Clarkson's Farm as it returns for a third season and with it, lots of drama and metaphorical waving of the arms.

We officially headed back to Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm on 3 May, as the third outing of the show began on Amazon's Prime Video.

But a huge mistake from Jeremy's right hand man Kaleb Cooper threatened to cost the business hundreds of thousands of pounds.

The third season begins where the second ended, with the Diddly Squat Farm restaurant.

But the tables have sadly turned for Jeremy, with West Oxfordshire District Council shutting it down.

It saw Jeremy and Kaleb, alongside Jeremy's partner Lisa Hogan and the farm's agronomist, Charlie Ireland, put their heads together over new ways to revolutionise the farm's income streams.

Jeremy's focus heads to foraging and alternative farming practice, with an onus on selling produce from the farm in his shop. We're talking jams, honey, and other goods.

It means a promotion for Kaleb, with the 25-year-old being made farm manager.

One of the first things Kaleb does in his new role is controversially start planting rapeseed despite an extremely dry season.

Charlie tells him: "There's no moisture, the grounds hard. I don't know when it's going to rain."

But with Kaleb convinced it was worth the risk due to the potential immense profits - and also to keep up with Jeremy on a new bet the two placed - the young farmer put £2,500 worth of the seed in to the ground.

"Are you chasing the bottom line of the farm or are you just trying to chase Jeremy because he's got a good head start," Charlie asks Kaleb.

Both was the answer.

But the outcome was nothing short of disastrous for the experiment.

"Jeremy and Charlie said it was too late to plant oilseed rape," Kaleb said stood in the field where the seeding had taken place.

"I took the decision as farm manager now and unfortunately it's failed. F*****g annoying."

Kaleb's mood then worsened when he took a trip to visit Jeremy on his side of the farm. There, he saw Jeremy had roped in someone else to help farm the land.

As you can imagine, that did not go down too well with an already bruised ego.
