Diddy’s sons hit back at 50 Cent’s documentary with big announcement

Diddy's sons have confirmed they are releasing a documentary about their father in a defiant response to 50 Cent's Netflix series.

Disgraced hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence behind bars after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution earlier this year.

Following his incarceration, Combs' long-time rival 50 Cent released a four-part documentary series, titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, detailing the allegations against the Bad Boy Records founder.

The documentary was hugely successful, receiving a 90 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes and racing to the top of Netflix's viewing charts.

However, the Combs family were less than impressed by the release, branding the documentary a 'shameful hit piece' and alleging Netflix had 'stolen footage' – a claim which the streamer has denied.

Combs' sons Justin, 31, and Christian 'King', 27, have now gone a step further by confirming that they had collaborated with streamer Zeus Network to tell their version of events.

The pair confirmed the news over the weekend, with a teaser trailer for the documentary shared on the network's Instagram.

In the trailer, we see Justin and King seated in front of a large TV watching rolling footage of their father's trial. Numerous headlines then flash up on the screen as the doc promises to share the brother's 'voice' as well as 'the family, the foes, the joy, the pain,' and 'the lies' about the case.

The trailer then ends with the pair receiving a call from Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey, where Combs will serve the remainder of his sentence, before confirming a 2026 release date.

It's currently not clear if the documentary will include phone calls with Combs.

Meanwhile, Zeus Network CEO Lemuel Plummer has since clarified the content of the programme, saying it is not the streamer's intention to 'endorse, defend, or vindicate Diddy'.

"To be clear, this documentary is about giving Justin and Christian the opportunity to share their personal story," he wrote.

"We’re not here to endorse Diddy or anyone else. As a network, we believe in giving individuals a platform to tell their own experiences, just like any network that enters the documentary space.

"We’re simply allowing these stories to be told, and that’s the essence of what we’re doing here. Thanks for understanding and for letting us bring these narratives to light."

Meanwhile, 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, has wasted no time in sharing his reaction to the teaser, sharing the clip on his Instagram account alongside the comment: "Wow I want to see this show, I’m not sure this was a good idea."
