Gino D'Acampo is now facing fresh allegations after being accused of 'inappropriate and intimidating behaviour' from dozens of people he has worked with between 2010 and 2024.

The celebrity chef was hit with a number of allegations in February this year, with women speaking about his actions. One claim involved him making comments in front of the film crew which were sexual, making one woman feel 'very, very, very small', and another claiming that he 'opened the door in his boxer shorts' before getting on his bed, 'leg up'.

Following the allegations around people's 'unacceptable', 'distressing' and 'horrendous' experiences with the TV personality, more incidents have been brought to light around the 49-year-old's conduct.

Footage of a sexual joke made by D'Acampo on This Morning resurfaced online, and action has since been taken by ITV, who were behind the production of some of the chef's shows.

Two of D'Acampo's upcoming shows have been shelved by the broadcaster, with one being Family Fortunes, as the Italian faces an investigation.

Following a bombshell ITV News investigation earlier this year, an update has been issued after it was said that 'at least one production company was aware of multiple concerns' made by crew members, 'but continued to work with him'.

D'Acampo has firmly denied the allegations made against him thus far.

Now, the father-of-three is facing new claims of 'bullying' and 'intimidation' on TV sets in a new investigation carried out by ITV News, as a former television executive has spoken publicly for the first time to address claims against the chef.

Sue Fowler was the most senior production member on the set of D'Acampo's 2022 series Gino’s Italy: Like Mamma Used to Make, and claimed that concerns around his behaviour weren't taken seriously as he 'brings in money'.

She claimed that she filed an email complaint after witnessing his conduct, after a freelance crew member collapsed on location, with a lifeguard and fixer telling her to call an ambulance as they suspected he was having a heart attack.

Responding to the email, an ITV lawyer said that they were 'sorry' but claimed: "Gino’s behaviour on this shoot, as outlined in your email, is not materially disputed."

They said that before the chef's next production, 'he was reminded of the correct channels of communication and expectations around behaviour on a shoot', adding that he took part in online training modules, including one named 'Tackling Harassment and Bullying at Work and Mental Health Awareness at Work'.

The email stated that these 'were reasonable and appropriate steps' to try and ensure a similar incident wouldn't occur.

Fowler added: “Not only was his behaviour tolerated, but it was rewarded. It was rewarded by him getting more commissions, by him fronting more series. There were no repercussions for Gino, there were repercussions for me.”

In the aftermath, she claims that there has been a 'direct impact' on her career following her actions, as she was 'blacklisted' by the industry, as Fowler said that if she was listened to, further incidents involving D'Acampo may have been avoided.

Concerns were later raised on set of the 2023 Betty TV production Gino’s Italy: Secrets of the South, which would also be broadcast on ITV.

It was claimed that 'crude language' and 'unacceptable behaviour' was displayed by D'Acampo, particularly towards women,

At least ten calls were made to ITV's anonymous hotline according to crew members, as a senior member of Betty TV's welfare team reportedly spoke to crew about his behaviour.

A spokesperson said that they were committed 'to the welfare and well-being of all its production staff', confirming that an investigation was carried out into his behaviour on the show and 'he completed online and bespoke in-person Anti-Bullying and Harassment training'.

A spokesperson for ITV said to the publication: “When issues about Gino D’Acampo's behaviour have been brought to ITV's attention we have looked into them and addressed them. It would not be appropriate to comment on individual cases. If a new complaint of inappropriate behaviour, whether historical or current, is raised with us it will be looked into by our Complaints Handling Unit.”
