With anticipation building ahead of the upcoming HBO series, Harry Potter fans from across the world were treated to some pretty huge casting news this week.
In case you missed it, we finally have our golden trio, as titular character Harry Potter and his two best friends Hermione and Ron were introduced to the world, following in the footsteps of international superstars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.
Dominic McLaughlin will portray 'The Boy Who Lived' alongside Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, with the youngsters joining renowned actors such as John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore) and Nick Frost (Rubeus Hagrid) in the confirmed cast.

Given that the film series is one of the most popular franchises of all time, it's pretty much confirmed that the three school kids are set to earn a life-changing amount of money, although they might have slightly different plans on how to spend their millions, than the peculiar choice of Rupert Grint.

A brand expert has now put a figure on just how much he expects Dominic, Arabella and Alastair to take home from the first series, with their pay only likely to increase should future series follow as they progress through each of J.K. Rowling's seven books.
Speaking to The Mail (via Hello Magazine), Nick Ede suggested that they'd 'hit the jackpot' after being officially named in the cast.
He said: "Daniel Radcliffe was paid £1 million for his first film and that went up to £50 million for the last two. It's not just the financial gain but the global fame will also bring endorsements and deals for them."

Given that Tom Felton earned a reported £14 million despite being in just 31 minutes of the films as Draco Malfoy, you'd imagine that the three main characters could take home a similarly significant fee once they get a bit older.
Speaking of the new cast, Ede added: "I can imagine them at least being paid £1 million per series to begin with and then you could even see them commanding £10 to £20 million each by the end of the seventh season - or even more."

With filming expected to start this summer, the series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.
Gardiner (showrunner, executive producer) and Mylod (director of multiple episodes, executive producer) said: “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It's been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”

By the time the first series lands in 2026, the young trio might already have millions in their bank account, even if they can't access it yet. Truly a parent's dream.
