The weather’s getting grimmer, the nights are getting darker, and Christmas decorations are already popping up – the three signs that I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is approaching.
Each year, we can pretty much rely on the ITV show to provide us with a nightly viewing and really, we know exactly what to expect.
However, there have apparently been some major changes made this year that could make it the ‘toughest’ it’s ever been.
Yep, while it’s never particularly an easy ride, Aitch, Alex Scott, Angry Ginge, Kelly Brook and the rest of the line-up seem to be set for a rather gruelling time Down Under as new features will ‘sap their souls’.

From some rather unwelcome campmates to major changes to Bushtucker Trials, it’s set to be a bit of a different I’m A Celebrity experience for both viewers and celebs this year.

Luxury Items
One big change this year is that the usual ‘luxury item’ feature has been wiped from the show.
Usually, we’ll see the stars compete to retrieve home comforts from their loved ones, from the likes of comfy pillows and blankets with their family’s faces on to fancy face creams and cameras to capture memories.
But this year, bosses want the stars to be ‘kept on their toes’.
The celebs will instead be able to earn a framed photo of someone of their choice during a challenge.
The show’s executive producer, Olly Nash, said to the Daily Mail: “It’s a tough and gruelling show, and there’s nothing wrong with driving that home. We need to see more celebrities earning their keep, that's the most important thing.”

Bushtucker Trials
Another huge change is the tweak to who takes part in the iconic Bushtucker Trials.
In a statement to LADbible, ITV confirmed there will now be a limit to how many times the campmates can participate in a row.
I'm A Celeb bosses announced that, from now on, if contestants do two trials in a row, it means they will miss the next one.
Show runners said that they are 'keen to give all campmates the opportunity to shine in Bushtucker Trials this year'.
"This new rule means the responsibility for winning food is shared amongst more of the campmates," ITV said. "More campmates will have an opportunity to step up and play their part, with viewers getting a chance to get to know them more, it's their chance to shine."
This comes after Dean McCullough was voted to do a total of seven trials last year, with two of those ending early.
“More celebs will be taking part in trials than we have ever had before so we are upping the competition,” Nash told The Mirror. "They are going to have to fight more and earn more. No longer can people sit in the shadows, they have to step up to the plate.”

Divided camp
Nash added to the Mail that the last series had a 'great positive happy cast' who banded together, whereas this year they're all going to 'have to fight more' with tensions likely.
“No longer can they be just sitting on the beds in the back, they are going to have to step up to the challenge and face the music,” he continued. “And there are a few celebrities in this year's camp that are sure to get niggled if they're hangry or sleep deprived.”
Likely to cause these ‘niggles’, there’s another new feature this year referred to as the Getaway Car.
To launch the series, the celebs will be split into two groups, and four of the stars will earn a seat in this vehicle, whizzing them off to camp with a drink in luxury. And when they arrive, they’ll be allocated the most luxurious beds ever seen in camp.
Well, if I were slumming it while my fellow campmates were living it up, I’d be feeling that hanger to another level I think.

Snakes in the grass
Of course, being in the jungle, there’s always some extra guests in camp but this year it seems like there’s quite a few more.
I’m A Celeb producers have admitted to seeing more snakes this year than in any other year.
“I have seen more snakes in this build phase than I ever have done before, huge great pythons almost as long as this log,” Nash added.
“I have seen loads of snakes, six or seven out just in the last two weeks and that's when there have been people here, which is rare because usually they scatter when people are building the camp.”
