The price of Jeremy Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, has become a hot topic in the last week after a customer’s receipt went viral online.
Clarkson’s The Farmer’s Dog was the focus of season four of Clarkson’s Farm, following his journey to find and open the Cotswold pub.
Between kitchen issues, staff quitting after just 48 hours, and the issues that come with committing to using British only produce, Clarkson has faced a number of issues in opening his pub.

Combine this with the soaring costs of pub ownership and the presenter has been forced to keep prices comparatively high for his pub.
This led viewers to be split over the huge cost of dining at The Farmer’s Dog after a patron posted a receipt showing they had spent £174.04 for a roast dinner for four adults and one child.

Whilst much of the social media debate surrounding it for some reason centered on the fact they have a mandatory service charge of 12.5 per cent, something that is a tad bit more understandable when you see how chaotic the pub was during the finale of Clarkson’s Farm.
One thing that many fans did notice and debate, however, is the fact that two pints of Hawkstone, Clarkson’s home-brand lager, was a whopping £14 on the receipt.

With this being the home pub of Clarkson’s lager many felt it was a bit steep to pay the prices you would for a central London pint, and so it has triggered many to be curious just how much drinks at the pub cost.
Thankfully a patron who recently went down to the Cotswold pub has shared a recent menu showing the costs which we can share with you.

The price of Hawkstone has actually gone down a tad since the receipt that went viral, with it costing £6.75 for Hawkstone’s Premium Lager, Session Lager, IPA, Pilsner, Black, as well as the Hawkstone and Kaleb Cooper cider.
Their low alcohol Spa lager is another 25p lower than that, costing just £6.50.

In addition, all their Vodka and Gin are £6 for a single, £10.50 for a double, with their various Whiskey’s costing £6.50 a single and £11 a double.
Their wine options, which you can see below, range from £34 to £55 for a bottle, with a Chateau Dorking being the cheapest option available.
Whilst all these prices are fairly high, considering the British-only rule that Clarkson has for the pub it is perhaps a surprise that they are not even higher.

Admittedly however, the most expensive options in my eyes are the soft drink selections, with the former Top Gear man charging £2.20 for a 330ml bottle of water.

This jumps up to £2.80 for his tonic waters and £3.80 for any cordials or juices.
Regardless, if you go in expecting no ketchup, no coffee, and slightly high prices - by all accounts, The Farmer's Dog is a great day out, according to fans.
