Though Kaley Cuoco has gone on to have a massively successful career, for many the American actress will always be Penny from Big Bang Theory.
The hit TV show became one of the most successful on the planet, earning the cast a staggering $900,000 per episode by the end of the series.
Despite this Cuoco has revealed during the press tour for her new series Vanished that her fiancé Tom Pelphrey had never actually seen the show, stating that when his brother referred to her at Penny the first time they met, leaving Pelphrey confused.
This is probably for the best however on account of the number of sex scenes Cuoco has in the show with her ex-boyfriend Johnny Galecki.

Galecki and Cuoco’s characters Leonard and Penny’s ‘will they won’t they is a major thing in the show’ and the in-character tension actually translated into them dating.

Where things got awkward however was the duo breaking up whilst the show was still ongoing. Whilst the characters did break up for a few seasons they would often backslide and hook up, and ultimately ended up getting back together for good.
Cuoco and Galecki have both in the past spoken about how they though the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, was messing with them by adding all the scenes.
Speaking in a 2022 Vanity Fair article, Cuoco said: “All of a sudden [after their breakup], we started noticing there were extra makeout scenes for our characters, and/or sex scenes.
“I was like, ‘I think Chuck is f*cking with us!’ We were convinced. Convinced!

“Like: ‘Yeah, they want to date and break up on my show, well, here you go’ and he was writing all the little doodads in there.”
Galecki agreed with Cuoco on this, saying: “Even though it was organic for the characters, I think he would f*ck with us.
“If it was an accident, it was a very timely accident.”
Cuoco also made this claim two years prior on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepherd, saying: “When we broke up, obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute, but I remember those weeks that Chuck had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like sleeping together every other second.

"Johnny and I talked about it and I think he did that on purpose — just to f*ck with us.”
Lorre however enied this quite strongly, saying to Vanity Fair: “No. Not at all. Making a good show has no room for fucking with anybody. There’s no Let’s mess with Kaley and Johnny.
“The goal was to make a great show and make every minute of every episode count.
"And that was the only goal. We don’t have that kind of freedom to risk a TV series that you put your heart and soul into to mess with somebody’s head.
“But I think that’s charming that they think we had the mental capacity to mess with them.”
