Line of Duty cast reunite as star Vicky McClure gets married

There's nothing more heartwarming than seeing your favourite TV stars get back together.

There's nothing more heartwarming than seeing your favourite TV stars get back together.

While it sadly isn't for a seventh season - yet? Hint hint, BBC - the legendary Line of Duty trio Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar and Martin Compston all got together in celebration of McClure getting married.

Prepare to reach for the tissues as you see the gang back together again.

McClure and long-term partner, Jonathan Owen, tied the knot on Friday (11 August).

The 40-year-old actor - best known for her role as Kate Fleming in the gripping BBC drama - and the 52-year-old film director - who worked on 2015 release I Believe in Miracles - got married in McClure's hometown of Nottingham.

McClure took to Instagram to share a whole host of photographs from the day, her post captioned: "Tied up in Notts!!! Best. Day. Ever!!!!!"

Iconic.

Compston - who played the role of Steve Arnott - also took to social media to mark the occasion, sharing an iconic image of McClure backing a Red Stripe in her wedding dress, alongside images of the Line of Duty cast all back together again - they even whacked out some fake police hats for the occasion.

The trio were also joined by the show's creator, Jed Mercurio.

The caption reads: "Incredible day in Notts celebrating the best of people @vicky.mcclure and @jonathanowen71 nuptials.

"First dance with the dementia choir was just beautiful and says everything about the two of them sharing their moment with the dementia team a few shandies were had afterwards."

A few 'shandies' were indeed had afterwards.

A photograph posted by McClure shows the Our Dementia Choir in action, with her and Owen dancing in front.

The choir was formed by McClure as part of a documentary for the BBC to 'discover the true extent of music’s power in combatting dementia,' as per the Our Dementia Choir website.

The Line of Duty cast reuniting, a wedding and the Our Dementia Choir performing? It's a tear jerker to say the least and people have flooded to McClure's post to congratulate her and Owen on their happy day.

The next time we see Compston in a police hat it needs to be on TV. Hint hint BBC.
