Going on a TV reality dating show to many already sounds like one of the worst possible experiences around.
Where the issue with shows like Love Island, Too Hot to Handle, and First Dates is usually just the pressure of being made to flirt with people on camera, for the participants of Temptation Island the more imminent threat is the possibility of your partner shagging someone else on screen.
The bizarre dating show became a global phenomenon when the Spanish version of the series spawned the ‘Montoya, Por Favor’ meme after Jose Carlos Montoya was shown footage of his girlfriend having sex with another contestant in graphic detail, before legging it across a beach to try and intervene.
Airing last year, it was dubbed 'the greatest scene in history', but the US Netflix version of the show might have spawned a moment that rivals it in terms of pure cringe.

The TV series has a very simple premise, couples are split up into a house full of single men and women and put their relationship to the test by seeing if they can be tempted by the beautiful people around them.
What could possibly go wrong?
Jack Mason and Shyanne Blankenship are one of the main couples on the new season, and despite having dated for five years, they do not end up leaving the show together.
This maybe shouldn’t have been the biggest surprise, considering Jack admitted to cheating on her before the show even started.
Jack, who is an entrepreneur, got into bed with bartender Carter who is one of the women playing ‘temptress’ for the men in relationships on the show.
The pair ended up kissing and later sleeping together.
The shocks didn’t end there, however, because he ended up following another temptress Jesenia to the ‘sex tent’ from the show and… well, you can guess at this point.
After discovering what her boyfriend had been up to, Shyanne quickly plotted her revenge.
She ends up sleeping with entrepreneur and reality TV star Preston Viltx, who also appeared on Netflix’s Squid Game: The Challenge season two.
Some fans think Jack and Shyanne have got back together in a bizarre twist
Unsurprisingly, Jack and Shyanne don’t end things on great terms, considering the revenge cheating, both of them sleeping with other people on TV, etc.
Shyanne seems pretty set on the breakup during the show, calling him a ‘f**king loser’ and a ‘bum’ before sleeping with Preston.
At the end, however, viewers are left with a hint that they may not be fully done, with Shyanne saying: “Hopefully, whenever time does heal us, we can... I don't know.”
Jack responded in tears, telling her: “Once I grow and be the man that I saw you talking about that you want, you never know what can happen.”
Since the show has ended, the pair have posted videos together, leading many to think that the couple are back together.
In addition to this, a shared post the two put out about the season included a comment from Shyanne saying: “Keep your head up and show the world a side of you they didn’t get to see. No matter how things went I’ll have your back.”
One viewer simply responded: "Lord I hope yall are not together."
All in all, it’s up to them, I guess. Now, would I get back with someone who slept with two other people on national television? Probably not, but each to their own…
