Love Island UK star George Knight quits show just days into new series
George Knight from Love Island's 2026 edition walked in just a few days ago as a bombshell to shake up the villa, yet has already quit the ITV series.
The Daily Mail has confirmed that George had left the villa today, 4 June, with ITV releasing a statement confirming the news.
George is a semi-professional footballer, playing for Dorking Wanderers FC, and only arrived in the villa on Tuesday, appearing alongside another bombshell Yasmin Hadlow.
He and Yasmin caused chaos in their first 24 hours in the villa, sending home two members of the villa, Ellie Chadwick and Samraj Toor, in a 'secret mission' tasked by celebrity host Maya Jama.

Since George felt a connection with Mica Harris, he was keen to break up her pairing with Samraj.
What the others don't know is that Ellie and Samraj appear to have not been truly dumped from Love Island, both spending a secret night in the Hideaway and being hinted to have a bigger role to come, but attention was still placed upon both George and Yasmin in the aftermath.
His Instagram has received several angry comments in the wake of him booting Samraj, but ITV has not confirmed the reasoning for his decision to leave the villa.
ITV said in a statement to LADbible: "For private reasons, George has left the Love Island Villa. We have a duty of care towards George and as such will not be commenting further."
He stated previously that he was 'open to a bit of friction' in the villa, saying: "I don’t seek drama but I'm quite naturally competitive but if there’s something in my way, I want to put my best foot forward."
George also said of his philosophy for dating: "You don’t want to get too deep, too early on. I’m open to getting to know everyone but as weeks go by, figure it out. I play midfield so maybe I’d go for that. If someone walked in that was straight away my type obviously I’d jump at it."
In tonight's episode, Robyn is set to pull George for a chat about why he made the decision to show Samraj the door.
Robyn, who has previously shared a kiss with George, asks: "What did you make your decision off? Basically competition?"
George responds: “Personal gain, don’t take it personally.”
Elsewhere, Ellie and Samraj are plotting their revenge against George and Yasmin.
Samraj tells Ellie: "George and Yasmin were playing the victim. Yasmin was crying, and George was huffing and puffing, but you should just own it.
"I can’t wait to go in there, see their faces drop. Everyone else’s faces will be like oh my god, they're back. Them two will be like f**k, we f**ked it."
While Ellie said: "I promise you it's going to be the worst mistake of [their] life."
Ellie is determined to pursue Aidan if they return to the villa, but considering the preview clip shows him sharing a smooch with Yasmin, that may be easier said than done.

Robyn
Age: 21
Robyn is a quantity surveyor and DJ from Liverpool. Detailing her ideal ‘type of paper’, she is looking for a ‘tall, fair, muscles, nice teeth, pretty boy’ who can make her laugh and has good manners, though the 21-year-old insists she’s ‘more into personality’.
“Finding love is my only goal. There may be a little bit of drama but I’m going in there for myself so I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do,” she says. “But I would like to think I’m a girl’s girl and that I handle situations quite well. I’ve got a mature brain.”
Lorenzo
Age: 28
The Hertfordshire native describes himself as a bit of a ‘teaser’ though sometimes ‘it could go too far’.
Lorenzo, who’s a business owner, traditionally goes for blondes ‘but not always’ and ‘quite likes a posh girl’.
Calling drama ‘fun’, he says: “As long as no one is crying, all is fair in love and war. It’ll be interesting to see what unfolds…”
Mica
Age: 21
Mica is a 21-year-old student from Barbados but is currently living in London.
She says she’s looking for a tall man who can make her laugh, but the ‘most important thing’ is personality.
“If I’m going after someone’s man, I’m going to do it respectfully but I’m still ultimately trying to get what I want,” Mica says, noting that it’s ‘super important’ that she also gets on well with the girls in the Villa.
Sean
Age: 25
Sean, from Galway in Ireland, simply describes his type as ‘female’.
The primary school teacher says he’s ‘here for love but also here for drama’.
However, Sean asserts: “If I see someone I like, I’m going for it and nothing’s gonna stop me.”
Ellie
Age: 24
Real estate videographer Ellie tends to go for the classic ‘tall, dark and handsome’ with nice teeth and tattoos but is ‘partial to a blonde as well’.
When it comes to handling the other competition, the West Lothian local says: “There’s nothing else I can do than be me. People love me and if they don’t then they’re clearly not okay. Listen, we’re all there for one reason, but I’m going to get my win.”
Samraj
Age: 25
Samraj, a model from Birmingham, claims not to have a ‘type’ but likes ‘the way a woman carries herself, her mannerisms’.
“Without sounding arrogant, in the outside world I don’t really chase that much, I’m used to girls coming to me. I know in the Villa it’s a different dynamic,” he says of his approach. “In the beginning, I’m not going to be pushing myself out there, I’m just gonna watch and see who I like and then go from there.”
Lola
Age: 28
Lola says she likes ‘tall, Italian-looking’ men, even though she ‘always ends up with blondes’, as well as ‘someone who is smart’.
The detective from Kent admits she ‘can be a bit of a brat’ but is ‘really looking for love’.
“I want to find someone who is actually the love of my life, like obsessed with me kind of thing,” Lola emphasises. “I think I’m missing someone who is obsessed with me!”
Samuel
Age: 25
Samuel is an electrician from Dudley and is looking for someone who is ‘classy, mature, blonde, fun’, and ‘doesn’t take themselves too seriously’.
Insisting he goes ‘straight for the goal’, the 25-year-old says: “I always go after what I want. Life’s too short for games, and I’m very honest about how I feel. When I like someone, I’m the least nonchalant person ever. There’s no messing around.”
Angelista
Age: 24
Staffordshire nurse Angelista’s typical type is ‘tall, dark and handsome’, though she is hoping for ‘a quietly confident man with nice teeth’ as well as ‘a listener and a doer’.
When it comes to her plan for the Villa, she explains: “I’ll put myself in the position to be seen by the guys so they know I’m interested, but I’m not gonna beg it. I’ll be in the mix, 100%, I’m not watching in the back.”
Ope
Age: 27
Ope, who is a West-End Performer from Lincolnshire, says he hasn’t ‘really got a type’ but is ‘big on hair, good teeth and a nice smile’. However, he does ‘prefer Northerners because they’ve got better crack’.
“My thing is to go for the goal and make someone laugh straight away. I think that’s the key to love and the key to getting girls,” Ope says, before adding: “I’ve got the best smile in Britain.”
Jasmine
Age: 27
Jasmine is originally from Dubai but now lives in London as a business owner. She describes her ideal type as someone who is ‘objectively hot, really charismatic, and confident’.
Revealing that she ‘lives’ for drama, Jasmine says: “I’m always involved in everyone’s business. I’m basically the auntie of the group. Everyone literally calls me ‘Jasmine Auntie’. So bring me love, bring me drama, bring all of it.”
Aidan
Age: 23
Property broker Aidan says personality is ‘the most important thing’ for him and likes ‘someone who’s fun, can take a joke and doesn’t take themselves too seriously’.
When it comes to his love life, the Kent lad explains that ‘it hasn’t really taken off yet’.
Aidan adds: “Hopefully being in the Villa will turn things around. I’m just ready for it now!”
