Mr Bean actually 'confirmed' huge conspiracy about the character in animated series

Mr Bean's Rowan Atkinson may have 'confirmed' a long-standing theory about the character.

If you were born in the late 90s, Mr. Bean was most likely an integral part of your childhood.

Although there was only 15 episodes of the original programme starring Rowan Atkinson, it felt like that's all we watched on TV.

But along with the show - which aired from 1990 to 1995 - there has since been a number of conspiracy theories about the character, and it seems that the actor himself may have let it slip in an old interview.

When he was asked back in 1993 about the possibility of the show ending, Atkinson let us in on a little secret storyline the writers were thinking of.

"It was this idea for the last, which we may never do, the last episode of Mr. Bean that he's driving along a country lane very fast in his Mini, and he sees this spaceship landing in a field," he explained on a Danish talkshow.

"And he stops the car and he looks out, and he thinks, 'What's that spaceship doing there?'

"And then he drives into the field and then he stops outside the spaceship.

"And he looks around, he looks up, and then suddenly the door goes [imitates the sound of a spaceship door opening].

"This bright light comes out of the spaceship and a Mr. Bean walks out of the spaceship.

"And then another Mr. Bean walks out of the spaceship.

"And he sees Mr. Bean and they all shake hands. And then 25 more Mr. Beans all come out of the spaceship and they all pat him on the back and they say, you know, 'Very nice to see you.'

"And then all the Mr. Beans go up into the spaceship and he shakes hands with the captain and the guy on the bridge, and then the door goes up.... and that's the end of Mr. Bean."

Now, this storyline was actually used years later in the animated version of the series and viewers are stunned to learn that Mr. Bean could have been an alien all along.

TikTok user Alex Stark, better known online as @stark_verse, reminded fans about the bonkers intro to every Mr Bean episode - he falls from the sky in a beam of light onto a deserted street, while a choir sing 'behold the man who is a bean' in Latin.

Alex said: "He appears to be falling through a light on the face of the Earth.

"As if he was being beamed on Earth. He doesn't know how normal people act and he always wears the same jacket with the exact same tie because he doesn't know humans change clothes."

He can't be?

All these factors led the content creator to one simple conclusion - that Mr Bean is in fact an alien.

Social media users were understandably stunned by the revelation, although not everyone was completely convinced.

One commented: "He's not an actual alien. But he is 'alien' to normal society. Hence the intro."

Another said: "I always took it as the aliens abducted him and couldn't stand him anymore so they dropped him back off."

A third added: "I thought that was obvious?

A fourth chimed in: "Omg no. Don't spoil my childhood! Mr Bean was naughty in heaven so they sent him back - or so my parents would tell me."

And a fifth speculated: "He was confirmed as an alien in the animated series, but was originally meant to be an angel, hence the light and choir."
