Although in some cases it’s arguably a good thing, they just don’t quite make reality TV like they used to.
From Snog, Marry, Avoid to Pimp My Ride, there used to be all kinds of mad reality shows knocking about.
And MTV was home to some of the US’s wildest, such as My Super Sweet 16.
But looking back on that show now is pretty wild for a different reason as so many of those featured have gone on to be in the public eye today.

There’s the likes of huge star, One Battle After Another actor Teyana Taylor who had her birthday on the show for example. Yeah, crazy.
And also Hollywood Executive Natalie Viscuso. Perhaps you know her best for her relationship, as she’s been with Henry Cavill since 2021.

Way back in the first season of the show, airing in February 2005, Viscuso was planning her (of course extravagant) party at one of her dad’s (Mike Viscuso’s) nightclubs in San Diego.
She said during her introduction: “I'm the new girl at school, but people actually know me because of the cars my dad has."
Viscuso went on to explain that money was ‘not really an object to’ her as a teen, adding: “I’m really spoiled.”
Having left behind her life with her aunt and uncle in New Mexico to move in with her ‘wealthy dad and stepmum’, she was now growing up in mansion with designer gear.
“Sometimes I feel guilty for that," she said, "but I deserve everything that I have because I've always been just the nice girl, never the rich girl."
Viscuso invited 1,000 of her closest friends, naturally, to her Hollywood-themed party but didn’t invite freshmen girls ‘because they cause drama’.
Nowadays, however, she’s going to real-life Hollywood dos thanks to her industry links and high-profile relationship.

Viscuso was formerly vice president of television and digital studios at Legendary Entertainment. That’s one of the companies behind films such as Man of Steel and Enola Holmes (yes, movies with Cavill in).
It’s also behind the likes of Dune, A Minecraft Movie, BlacKkKlansman and Interstellar.
Back in 2022, Deadline reported that she had switched jobs.
Viscuso and Cavill have been dating since 2021 and in January 2025, welcomed their first child together.
They made their red carpet debut together in October 2022 for the premiere of Enola Holmes 2.
Speaking to British GQ last year, Cavill said the ‘most important time ‘ in his life so far was their daughter being born and: “The 5 of us [Viscuso, their daughter, Cavill and their two dogs] settling into our forever home.”

Not long after the couple went Instagram official, the Superman actor penned a message on social media, asking followers to stop speculating about his personal life.
He shared a photo of him and Viscuso, writing: “Dear fans and followers, I wanted to make a wee community announcement. I couldn't help but notice that there has been some social animosity of late. It's becoming increasingly prevalent on my feed. There has been lots of, let's call it speculation for now, about my private life and professional partnerships. Now, while I do appreciate the passion and support by those very people who are "speculating", It has come to such a point that I needed to say something, which in itself, is a bad thing. We are living in an age of social enlightenment. More and more, people are realising that their views may have been blinkered and that they need to expand them to encompass others. So, to you out there who are expressing your disdain and showing your displeasure through a surprising variety of ways, it's time to stop. I know it can be fun to speculate, to gossip, and to dive into our own personal echo chambers on the internet, but your "passion" is misplaced, and it causes harm to the people I care about most. Even your most conservative of negative assumptions about both my personal and professional life just aren't true. Let's embrace this age of social enlightenment together, and move forward with positivity. I am very happy in love, and in life. I'd be enormously grateful if you were happy with me. If you can't bring yourself to be happy with me, then at the very least try to do yourself proud and be the best version of yourself.”
