We are seeing more and more reboots hit our screens at the moment, but one fans are likely to be pretty excited for is Prison Break.
The hit series, which concluded in 2017, sees an engineer install himself in a prison to help save his innocent brother from a death sentence.
Although fans have spotted some silly mistakes from the original series, its first season in particular remains extremely popular and fans were understandably delighted when the news of the reboot first broke in December last year.

It follows in the footsteps of Malcolm in the Middle, Waterloo Road and Gossip Girl, all of which have returned to our screens in recent years, although fans of the hilarious American family are going to have to get used to seeing a new Dewey when the new series drops.

We already knew for sure that Wentworth Miller wouldn't be returning to the reboot and while we're still waiting on an official release date, we now know some of the faces that will feature in the Prison Break reboot.
Variety confirmed that Ray McKinnon, Margo Martindale, Donal Logue and Lili Taylor are all set to guest star in the pilot episode. They join previously announced cast members Emily Browning, Lukas Gage, Drake Rodger, Clayton Cardenas, JR Bourne, Myles Bullock, Georgie Flores, and Priscilla Delgado.
It has been confirmed that the pilot episode at least, will be set within the same world as the original Fox series but we're unlikely to see many returning characters, as we get completely new characters and a storyline, with the plot details still up in the air.

What we do know is that McKinnon will play Joe Dahl, described as 'a private detective investigating a decade old murder'.

Martindale will play Jessica Strand, 'the Warden of one of the deadliest prisons in America'. Logue appears as Holt Keane, 'a father grieving the loss of his family'.
Taylor will play Carole Mullen, 'a mother committed to finding the truth'.
The original series ran for five seasons and also inspired a TV movie, a spinoff, a novel, a video game and a magazine. Whether the reboot proves to be as popular remains to be seen, but history perhaps isn't on its side, when we look at the success of How I Met Your Father, for example.

Meanwhile, we've recently discovered exactly who will play the golden trio in the highly-anticipated HBO Harry Potter series, which promises to be one of the biggest reboots in history.
