Sydney Sweeney's naked pose with snake in new Euphoria episode hints at deeper meaning

Euphoria’s newest episode may not have the crazy scenes that some of the previous instalments of this season have, but one blink-and-you’ll miss it moment actually has a much darker meaning that fans may have missed.

Euphoria was already a pretty wild show for its first two seasons, yet season three so far has taken things to an entirely new level.

Whilst the season has been critically panned, the scenes involving Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie becoming an OnlyFans star have been going viral week on week, alongside other bonkers moments involving Jules being ‘mummified’ and Faye sleeping with a Nazi.

The newest episode is a bit lighter on these standout moments for the high standard Euphoria season three set itself, with the most talked about moment being Faye getting a Nazi tattoo. Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie does however pose naked with a snake in a pretty shocking moment that has a far deeper potential meaning.

Cassie is being photographed in Alamo’s strip club the Silver Slipper alongside strippers Magik and Kitty, played by Rosalia and Anna Van Patten respectively.

With Maddie acting as creative director the trio have a sultry photoshoot, but a fan on X has made a link between this seemingly harmless scene and one later in the episode.

Bishop, played by Darrell Britt-Gibson, freaks out Zendaya’s Rue with a story about how the snake in question used to belong to a stripper called Sweet.

Bishop explains that the snake (also called Sweet) one day stopped eating, leading its owner to take it to the vet to figure out what was going on. He says the vet revealed that the snake had been waiting to eat its owner in her sleep, something a fan has managed to connect to Sydney Sweney’s earlier scene.

They posted: “Bishop talking about how the snake was waiting to consume its owner, and we see a snake curled up with cassie, right after booking her gig on la nights, interesting.”

Sweeney’s Cassie manages to book a small role on a TV show where her sister Lexi is working, LA Nights, and ends up deleting her OnlyFans account after being promised a more extended part in the show.

Based on the theory, and the clear foreshadowing from the moment, it’s hard to imagine that Cassie will come off well now she’s deleted her hugely successful OnlyFans account.

One fan posted a comment on an official Reddit reaction thread for the episode, saying: “She's going to lose the acting job and end up at the silver slipper I think.”

Another comment said: “Ngl I can’t wait to see what happens when the details of the 3 work contracts she’s signed conflict… Yeah, she’s going to end up at the silver slipper.”
