Tammy Slaton, the star of the TLC reality series 1000-Lb Sisters, has shared her incredible transformation after losing 'three whole versions' of herself.
Weight loss is a hot topic at the moment with millions of people turning to GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic to lose some weight, with the NHS recently rolling out Mounjaro as a weight loss drug for those who meet very specific guidelines.
Tammy and her sister Amy starred on their own reality TV series after weighing in at over 1000 lbs when combined, with Tammy suggesting that she was over 700lbs at her heaviest.
But after years of hard work, dieting and exercise, as well as a bariatric surgery in 2022 which altered her gut hormones and stomach size, the 38-year-old reckons she has lost the equivalent of 'three whole versions' of herself after shedding 540 pounds in the past five years.

After undergoing a skin removal surgery in recent weeks, Tammy sat down with People to show off her incredible transformation and talk about getting used to her new body.

She said: "After six years and losing over 500 pounds, I was finally approved for surgery. I was just overwhelmed with excitement. I worked really hard for this, and now it's here. I'm pretty sure it was noticeable on my face how immediately shocked and then overwhelmed with joy I was.
"I was really nervous for the skin removal surgery because I was really just kind of afraid of how I'm gonna feel looking at myself without the belly there.
"The night before my surgery, I was, like, seriously freaking terrified. I was even more nervous about having skin removal surgery than I was for the [sleeve gastrectomy] surgery because they’re actually cutting the whole belly!"

Healthcare professionals were impressed with Tammy's incredible progress and perhaps even surprised how well she adapted after the skin removal surgery she was so nervous for.
She added: "I surprised the doctors with how well my body was healing. I ended up coming home from Pittsburgh, like, four days early."

The journey has been a long and difficult one for Tammy as doctors first challenged her to lose 30 pounds in 2020, but when the Coronavirus pandemic arrived it was harder for her to leave the house and exercise.

She ended up putting on 100 pounds before losing the total 130 pounds, which marked a huge first step in her journey to becoming a healthier woman.

The 38-year-old also lost her husband Caleb at the age of just 40 in 2023, but it seems his loss has only inspired her to go further, and she now looks like a completely different woman, as she currently weighs in at a little over 200lbs.
