Tammy Slaton, one of the stars of TLC reality series 1000-Lb Sisters, is getting married as she announced a new relationship three years on from the death of her husband.
She turned 40 today (27 July) and in the reality show that first aired in 2020 she weighed in at 605lbs, while her younger sister Amy was around 400lbs.
Tammy explained she'd spent her whole life overweight and that by the time she was 20 she weighed 500lbs, with the show following the sisters trying to lose weight so they could be approved for surgery.
While Amy had lost a significant amount of weight by the second season of 1000-Lb Sisters, Tammy had actually put some on and her family were afraid that she might not live much longer.

Hospitalised in late 2021 due to carbon monoxide poisoning, Tammy suffered obesity hypoventilation syndrome and weighed 717lbs, leading her to go into rehab for a food addiction.

By the end of the reality show's third season she'd lost over 100lbs and continued her weight loss journey until she finally got the green light for bariatric surgery.
During her rehab she met Caleb Willingham and they were married in 2022, but he died the following year.
Her weight loss journey has continued since then and she looks quite different now, and TLC recently announced that she was also getting married again, this time to Andrea Dalton.

She's shed 540lbs in the past five years and reckons she's lost 'three whole versions' of herself, and also underwent skin removal surgery to get rid of excess skin.
Speaking to People, she said: worked really hard for this, and now it's here. I'm pretty sure it was noticeable on my face how immediately shocked and then overwhelmed with joy I was.
"I was really nervous for the skin removal surgery because I was really just kind of afraid of how I'm gonna feel looking at myself without the belly there.
"The night before my surgery, I was, like, seriously freaking terrified. I was even more nervous about having skin removal surgery than I was for the [sleeve gastrectomy] surgery because they’re actually cutting the whole belly!"
When she first announced she was together with Andrea she said she hadn't yet told her family, and didn't know how they would react to it.
She said: "The person I'm dating is a woman. So I haven't told my family because my family's gonna have something to say about it.
"I think my family probably has more opinions than the world has a**holes because they be farting so much.
"A few years ago I came out as pansexual but after Caleb passing, I just don't want to be with men anymore. I don't know how my family is going to react when I tell them I'm seeing a woman."
