The Office turns 25 next month and the BBC is set to mark the occasion with a special one-off show that’ll see former cast members reunited.
Believe it or not, the hit sitcom first aired all the way back in July 2001 and made household names of creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
Set in the fictional Wernham Hogg paper company, the multi-award winning show ran for just two seasons, but its impact on the world of comedy cannot be overstated.
To mark a quarter of a century of the show, the BBC will air Mackenzie Crook and Martin Freeman Remember…The Office.

The show will see Freeman and Crook, who played Tim Canterbury and Gareth Keenan respectively, reunite to take a special look back on the show.

According to a press release from the BBC, the show will be the first time Freeman and Crook have seen each other in more than 15 years as they head on a trip down memory lane ‘sharing their memories of working, and laughing, alongside Ricky Gervais, co-writer Stephen Merchant, and their other leading office colleague Lucy Davis, who played the object of Tim's affections, Dawn’.
Without sharing too many spoilers about what it's in store, the broadcaster did tease that the two will share anecdotes covering how Freeman initially went up for the role of Gareth, how close Gervais came to running filming on a daily basis, what it was like to work on the show during the height of its fame and, most importantly, how Crook ‘embraced one of TV's worst-ever haircuts’.
They’ll also be revealing their favourite parts from the show as well as sharing their thoughts on the US version of The Office.

Interestingly, Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott, the American equivalent to Gervais’ David Brent, in the US version of the hit show recently revealed that he’s watched ‘less than a minute’ of the original.
Speaking to LADbible’s show Swipe Stuff Carell: “I will admit this, I've only watched about less than a minute of The Office, because I had not seen it prior to auditioning for the American The Office.
“I started to watch a tiny bit, and I knew instantly that if I watched anymore, I would just do a copy of Ricky and I didn't wanna do that because I figured if it has any chance of success, it's not going to be the same show, it has to be different in some way and his depiction of that character was so specific and so great that I knew I could never, ever come close to that level.”
Mackenzie Crook and Martin Freeman Remember...The Office will be broadcast on Wednesday 8 July at 10pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
