The Traitors season four might be over, but the secret connections between contestants has not ended just yet.
Between Judy and Roxy being revealed to be mother and daughter as well as Ross and Ellie being revealed to be in a couple, the newest season of The Traitors had more secret connections than any previous UK season. Ultimately though, with Judy and Ross both being voted out very early on, the connections had little bearing on the game itself.
Amanda and Jade however played major parts within the game, with Jade making the final and Amanda’s suspicions thrown on her ultimately contributing heavily to her being banished.
After the finale aired however, and the cast were all reunited, the pair have discovered that they have a secret connection that even they were totally unaware of until filming finished.

Amanda posted a video on her Instagram of the pair on FaceTime, explaining: “Back in the 90s way, way, way before [Jade] was born, I was a uniform police officer, and I used to work at Islington police station.
“One of my favourite people to go out on patrol [with] was a guy called Jonathan.
“Jonathan and I used to go out in our car and on the beat and we’d go and catch criminals in life or death situations… and there’s a bit of a connection.”
Jade then explained: “This Jonathan is actually my boyfriend’s dad.”
The pair burst into laughter on the video, explaining that Jade had messaged Amanda after the show since she only found out she worked in the Met Police after Amanda had been banished due to Rachel’s now iconic reveal.

Amanda revealed she was stunned to realise that the more details Jade gave the more familiar it sounded before being sent a picture of him to which she exclaimed ‘that’s Johnny!’
The reveal makes Amanda’s incorrect pursuit of Jade even funnier, with one comment noting: “You could have been allies!”
Another comment said: “This is mind blowing! There were so many extra connections on that family tree!”
A third joked: “Fiona won’t believe it.”
Amanda has since spoken about why she went for Jade on the show, and the explanation is about as bizarre as the connection between them.
She said on Uncloaked: “Jade was on my radar, but for no reason. She was the first person I saw, and… it could have been anyone sat there, you know.

“She did a couple of odd things. But then when you get to know the person, she seems quite shy.”
Iconic Faithful Harriet has put forward a theory as to why Amanda might have struggled with the game in an exclusive interview with LADbible.
Harriet said: “I operate on vibes. I operate on gut feeling. I operate on instinct.
"I imagine that police officers have those things, if not trained out of them, they are trained at least to cross-examine that in themselves more strongly.”
She also added: “I think being overskilled and overtrained for this is probably not the best idea.”
