The Traitors finale has been crowned as ‘the best bit of Telly ever’ after a blockbuster finale in which Stephen and Rachel walked away as the first duo of Traitors to ever win the show.
Stephen and Rachel walked away with £95,750 and, despite the fact they won’t have got the prize money yet, many fans are calling the finale one of the best episodes of TV ever.
In the very last vote of the game Stephen was almost certain he could have voted Rachel out and walked away with the entire prize fund rather than splitting it, however he stayed true to his promise to Rachel to never vote for her.
Fans were left utterly emotional at the TV show's ending, though many pointed out that the Faithfuls missed out on a huge slip-up from Rachel that could have decided The Traitors.
The Faithfuls missed out on Rachel’s slip-up which gave it all away

One of the most talked about moments from the finale is actually nothing to do with the dramatic final vote, but a tiny moment that some might have missed.
One popular comment on The Traitors subreddit’s live reaction thread said: “Fucking hell it went completely unnoticed that Rachel called herself a traitor ‘if I was a faithful’.”
This referenced Rachel whilst talking to Faraaz saying: “If I was a faithful I would’ve murdered me…”
Another fan posted a shocked GIF saying: “And NO ONE picked up on Rachel saying that?”
This did not end up being the only missed opportunity to catch Rachel out in the episode, with one moment going under the radar.

Rachel claimed that she had used body language expertise to catch out Jade as a Traitor, saying that she clenched her jaw at the first roundtable, something Faraaz agreed meant she was a Traitor. According to a real body language expert though, that doesn’t really matter.
Speaking to OLBG, body language expert Darren Stanton said: "Jaw clenching isn't linked to lying or deception. It's actually when we suppress emotions. Jade is either suppressing anger or she is scared.
“Some people grind their teeth, and it causes the jaw to clench, but it happens when someone is trying to suppress their true feelings, not when they are lying."
The Traitors finale receives universal praise, but fans have been criticising the faithfuls

A fan of the show called it the ‘best bit of Telly ever’, whilst another said: “thank f*ck the boring faithfuls didn’t win, VIVE LE TRAITORS!!
One comment on Reddit said: “Most beautiful ending to the show we’ve ever had! i’m so proud of them.”
Another comment said: “The best traitors EVER , across any season. What a pair of winners!!!”
Viewers have remained critical though of the Faithful, with Jack’s reaction to being voted out coming under fire.
With Stephen and Jack having been close the whole game he voted her out and said it ‘would become clear’ why he had done so, yet Jack still seemed unsure if they were both Traitors.
One tweet said: “Jack was STILL doubting whether they were both traitors after all of that, and that is exactly why the traitors winning was the only just outcome. The faithful were shockingly bad.”
Regardless though, good or bad at their roles, the Faithfuls and Traitors have all succeeded in one thing: creating iconic TV once again.
