The Traitors super fan debunks the four biggest conspiracy theories around the BBC show

Viewers are wondering about all sorts of hidden connections between the players

A 'super fan' of The Traitors has debunked some of the main conspiracy theories viewers have around the current series.

If we're being honest aren't we all super fans of The Traitors at this point?

The BBC juggernaut is amassing millions of viewers and while we might enjoy the sight of the contestants trying to figure out who among them isn't to be trusted, we're all just trying to figure out what curveballs the show itself will throw at us next.

The declaration 'Paul isn't my son... but Ross is' from Diane last series was a seminal moment in British TV as we realised that the show had stuck two family members on the show and they were keeping it a secret, and now it seems like all sorts of contestants are trying to hide things.

Lisa kept her being an Anglican priest under wraps until she made a big reveal that didn't quite have have a big impact, while Charlotte decided that she'd try and come across more trustworthy by pretending to be Welsh, though apparently there's some scientific backing to support this being a decent idea, according to the BBC.

Anyhow, there are Traitors viewers who think the show, now at the halfway point, still has some surprises to spring on us.

However, 'super fan' Claudia Connell told the Daily Mail that four of the biggest theories weren't true after she did a bit of digging.

She said that one of the most popular conspiracy theories among fans of The Traitors was that faux-Welshwoman Charlotte was secretly married to diplomat Alexander, who exited the show in the first episode due to some train-based shenanigans only to return several episodes later.

However, after some digging, she found that Charlotte was actually married to a different person called Alexander.

There have been couples on the show before, as back in series one Alex and Tom kept their relationship under wraps and the revelation rather backfired on them.

The 'super fan' also knocked over the theories that Dan and Joe were secretly brothers, since they came from Liverpool and Yorkshire respectively.

She added that despite the close bond between them, the fan theory that Francesca and Freddie were mother and son was quite unlikely as she reckoned it would have been mentioned by now.

Diane brought up that Ross was her son long before the rest of the group knew, while sisters Armani and Maia made their family bond clear from the beginning to avoid a mid-game reveal moment.

As for those fans thinking that unfeasibly tall Yorkshireman Jack could make another return after he departed the train in the first episode and the contestants decided not to free him from his suspended cage, since Jack has been on The Traitors: Uncloaked, it's very unlikely that he'd be going back to the castle.

On the other hand, she did seem to support a few of the other popular fan theories, like Linda potentially sowing the seeds of her own downfall with the way she writes the letter 'z' and Minah being prepared to throw her fellow Traitor under the bus.

Other Traitors fans have been developing the idea that the last people to come in for breakfast are those who were under discussion for murder last night but survived, though that's not the case in plenty of episodes so any future Traitors contestants should be careful not to rely on that one too much.

Players using knowledge from past series has become something of a feature of series three, so wrong-footing expectations contestants might develop could be a good idea.
