It was reported in recent weeks that Tom Hardy had been fired from MobLand due to alleged ‘career suicide’ behaviour.
Stories then followed that the actor wasn’t sacked and while there was apparently tension during production, ‘things are being worked through creatively’.
The second season of the crime drama had wrapped and the third had confirmed to be in development.
But if Hardy is exiting MobLand, in which he plays a lead, Harry Da Souza, then it’s set to have quite the impact on the upcoming season. And, perhaps, the season that has already been filmed.

The show also stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, who recently showed support for Hardy following claims he left the cast and crew waiting around for hours while he remained in his trailer.

Credited as an ‘insider’ a source reportedly claimed to The Sun that Hardy leaving MobLand could cost Paramount+ millions as it would mean a change to the second season.
“The role is pivotal to the story, so he can’t just disappear in season three — there has to be some sort of explanation for his absence,” they claimed.
This would apparently mean ‘altering the end of the second season’ which would cost millions in ‘extra time spent developing, filming and editing’.
“It’s not clear if Tom will even return to film any new scenes, or whether the producers are just going to have to be incredibly creative in tying up the second series,” the source claimed.
“And then they’ve got to start thinking about the overwhelming prospect of delivering series three.”
Amid reports of Hardy’s alleged ‘career suicide’ behaviour, it was confirmed by a source ‘close to production’ to Variety that: “Tom was not fired, the door is not closed for Season 3 and things are being worked through creatively."

It was reported that the show’s director, Guy Ritchie, ‘likes working with Tom’ and although claims about tension during production were real, they’re currently trying to work things out.
Another source claimed to the outlet that things might have been sorted out already if other alleged leaks claiming Hardy had been sacked from the show hadn't happened.
Variety's sources also claimed that Hardy was unhappy that scripts were sometimes coming just a week before shooting as the he 'likes to prepare', and the scriptwriters aren't around if an actor wants to change something.
They claimed Hardy was 'better behaved' when Ritchie was directing since they’ve got a good working relationship going back years.
One of Variety's sources also claimed that while the actor being late to set was 'frustrating' for his cast mates, there was specifically no friction between him and Mirren.
