Tom Hardy has reportedly been fired from MobLand where he starred alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren ahead of its upcoming third season.
Hardy may be one of the most beloved celebrities around, but according to a new report, he may not always be the easiest to work with.
Matthew Belloni’s Puck News are reporting that Hardy was fired off MobLand ahead of the TV show's upcoming third season, stating that he was frequently late to set and difficult to work with, leading to a showdown with producers.
MobLand is one of Paramount+’s most successful TV series, starring Hardy as a mob hard-man who is dragged back into an ongoing gang war between two London crime families.

Belloni claims in his newsletter that producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser clashed with Hardy during the production of the TV show’s second season, which is yet to release. Season three has already been confirmed, but Hardy won't be coming back.
The report says: “Hardy was apparently late to set a bunch, constantly asked to give notes on scripts, attempted to change dialogue, and expressed his displeasure that a series initially built around him was increasingly becoming an ensemble showcase for Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and other co-stars.”
This reportedly reached the point where Butterworth threatened to quit, with the studio instead deciding to fire Hardy.
MobLand was a major hit with critics and fans, receiving an average score of 8.3 on IMDb and a score of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Fans were shocked to discover that Hardy, the lead of the show, was fired from the show. One posted on X, saying: "Well that’s that show ruined then. Don’t get me wrong, rightfully fired if that’s true but he was that show."
Another said: "Without Tom Hardy, MobLand wouldn't exist. It was a great show, what a shame."

This is not however the first time that Hardy has caused on-set issues. Charlize Theron and Hardy had an on-set feud during the production of Mad Max: Fury Road with Theron saying they both 'should have done better'.
A book titled Blood, Sweat and Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Road reported that Hardy would show up to set hours late on multiple occasions, in one instance leading Theron to request that he be fined $100k for 'every minute that he's held up the crew'.
The book claims that Hardy then charged up to her and was 'aggressive', leading to Theron requesting personal protection on the set of the film.
She said in the book she 'didn't feel safe' and was 'scared s**tless'.

Hardy had to be 'coaxed out of his trailer', director George Miller told The Telegraph, adding: "I think there’s a tendency in this business to use great performances as an excuse for other disruption that could be avoided."
The Dark Knight Rises star admitted his faults on the film, stating that he was 'in over his head', with both stars pointing to the intense pressure they were under during shooting.
He responded to the allegations by saying: "What [Theron] needed was a better, perhaps more experienced partner in me. That's something that can't be faked. I'd like to think that now that I'm older and uglier, I could rise to that occasion."
LADbible Group has contacted representatives for Paramount and Tom Hardy for comment.
