Woman who punched Supernanny when she was 9 spoke out about experience on show years later

She still gets asked about that moment 16 years later.

On what was probably one of the most explosive episodes of Supernanny there was, a 9-year-old girl called Meghann lashed out at supernanny, Jo Frost.

Now, aged 25, Meghann Cooke still gets asked about that moment.

Rewatch the moment below:

Meghann, who is from Bishop Stortford in Hertfordshire, and her two sisters were on the noughties TV show with their despairing parents, Paul and Denise.

The family was at breaking point, with the episode showing plenty of shouting matches and fights between the children and their parents.

At one point, Meghann's outburst was that bad that she climbed up on to the table between Jo and her dad, desperately trying to violently attack Jo.

The moment in question.

Today, Meghann regularly posts videos to her TikTok channel answering questions about the show.

One asked her: "Were you embarrassed when you watched it after it came out? Did you actually hit Jo or was it scripted?"

To which Meghann replied: "The first time the show was aired, I watched it on the TV in my bedroom, my mum and dad watched it downstairs and my sisters were asleep, they didn't watch it.

"I remember crying when it finished and my mum came upstairs and said she was sorry, she was crying and I was crying.

"And it wasn't scripted, me hitting Jo. I lashed out, a lot."

People are fascinated about the TV programme and whether things were different behind the scenes.

In fact, Meghann is always getting questions from curious followers, who are intrigued as to what it's actually like to appear on such an iconic show at such a young age.

She says on another video, talking about what goes on when the camera isn't rolling: "It wasn't that it was staged or that we were set up in situations, but our routine was fully changed.

"We were used to getting ready in the morning, watching TV, getting our hair done, having our friends round.

"Um, and weren't allowed to watch the TV because, obviously, copyright reasons they can't have the television on.

"We weren't allowed to have friends around because they shouldn't really have our friends in the video - and we weren't allowed to wear certain clothes, like, we weren't allowed to wear clothes with branding and stuff on them."
