For those of us who get overly invested in celebrity romances, the news that Kim Kardashian and Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson have called it quits, was earth-shattering.
The break up has left fans wondering if Davidson will still appear in the second season of the Kardashian family’s hulu reality series The Kardashians.
In an exclusive with E! News insiders shared how the couple was trying to make long distance work while Davidson was filming his upcoming movie Wizards! in Australia.
"When they are apart, they are in constant communication," the insider said. "Kim loves that he's always making her laugh and he truly makes her day when they talk."

The source said, while the pair has 'a lot of love and respect for each other', the long distance dynamic and their busy schedules 'made it really difficult to maintain a relationship'.
An anonymous source told the entertainment news outlet that Davidson does feature in some scenes for the reality TV show, but for the most part, only appears in the background, saying 'the reality world is not built for people like Pete'.
The source also stated that Davidson is 'a very private person'.
"I don’t know how they’re doing the second season, but he’s not a part of that world," they said.
So, despite being prominently featured at the end of the show's trailer, when we see him excitedly drop everything to join Kim in the shower, it seems these glimpses may be all we’ll get of the former couple in the series.
