Berghain is known as the most 'exclusive' and difficult-to-enter nightclubs in the entire world.

Based in Berlin, Germany, it’s perhaps one of the most popular and renowned places to listen, dance, and bop to electronic music.

But unbelievably, so many fail to make it past the front doors after queuing for as long as four hours thanks to the selective and strict nature of the door staff.

But if you want to discover some of Berghain's unofficial entry rules, well... we’re in a position to advise you thanks to a list of precise rules published by WikiHow.

First, and this should be obvious to most, but avoid drinking too much at pres before heading over to the club.

Most clubs are strict about barring drunks and Berghain is no different. If the door staff see any signs of drunk and disorderly behaviour, your chances of getting in have gone from quite unlikely to physically impossible.

Second, make sure you stick to the right dress code.

Many of us have seen The Inbetweeners clip where bouncers refuse poor Simon entry because of his white trainers. No one wants to be that guy.

According to German language school Das Akademie, the unofficial rule in Berghain is to wear all black clothing.

Edgy accessories like leather harnesses, chains, and unique touches will also help your case.

In fact, most sources claim the most important thing is just being yourself and showing off your true character rather than trying too hard to be someone you're not.

One additional rule many fail to consider is to study the type of music Berghain plays on the dancefloor.

Come prepared with a set of names as the bouncer may even ask you about them. Culture Trip suggests at the very least you should know which DJ is playing on the night.

And of course, timing is (as ever) important.

Going at Berghain's least-busy times, such as 3am or 4am on a Sunday morning, could actually improve your chances. FYI, the club kicks out it's revelers at 9am on a Sunday so that would give you at least 6 hours of nightclubbing fun.

One last easy-to-forget pointer is avoiding phone and camera use in the queue.

Cameras are strictly forbidden inside Berghain and the club even gives ravers stickers to cover their lenses upon entry.

Any camera use in the queue will automatically put the bouncers onto your case.

Still intrigued? Well, YouTubers Zac and Jay from The Zac and Jay Show created a video about their attempt to get in and one fan commented with his own experience.

Bob van Alphen claimed he had been at Berghain 10 years ago with two friends.

They had asked to join a group of girls in front with the hope of increasing their chance of entry, but were rejected by the girls.

When they arrived at the door, the girls were refused entry but Bob and his friends were allowed in.

“When we entered the club I looked behind me and saw one of the girls looking at us with a very sad face and disbelief in her eyes,” he said.

“Best night ever!”

The YouTubers somehow made it into the notorious club and they felt it was partly down to the advice to wear mesh t-shirts, black nail varnish and to simply act 'cool'. Seems easy enough... right?
