Social media icon MrBeast has stuck to his promise and given the $250,000 made from his first full video on X to fans.

The YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is known for his extravagant giveaways, though he didn't originally plan to post on X for financial reasons.

Elon Musk, a friend of his, had previously urged Donaldson to post on X, but he made it abundantly clear in December that he wasn't looking to upload on X: “My videos cost millions to make and even if they got a billion views on X it wouldn’t fund a fraction of it :/.

“I’m down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!”

However, things have obviously changed since then, as X owner Elon Musk has introduced ad-revenue-sharing, allowing creators to earn a share of the revenue generated by ads in their posts.

Last week, MrBeast uploaded his '$1 vs $100,000,000 Car!' video which was originally uploaded to YouTube in September.

He added: "I'm curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make so I'm reuploading this to test it. Will share ad rev next week."

MrBeast said he would give away all of his X earnings to fans.

On 23 January, he posted his earnings on that one video, which stood at $250,000 (£196,800), though he called it a 'bit of a facade' as he suspected that advertisers bought ads on his video.

He then said he would give 10 people $25,000 each from the earnings, as long as they reposted the tweet and followed him, with the winners being announced 72 hours from then.

We can reveal that MrBeast stuck to his word, and the 10 winners of the $25,000 prizes have been announced.

The 25-year-old tweeted out to his 28 million followers: "Here are the winners of the $250,000 giveaway! They each will receive $25,000 :D"

The winners couldn't believe their luck, with just two clicks on X, they managed to win a colossal amount of money.

Unfortunately, like you (probably), I didn't win either so you're not alone.

One shocked winner wrote: "I am just so confused and taken aback and also I just got home from work wow," to which MrBeast replied: "Congrats:D".

"THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!," gushed another winner in response to the post.

Congrats to those who managed to bag the huge pay day!
