A man who took an Audi he'd bought for about £74,000 to WeBuyAnyCar said he 'nearly fainted' after they told him how much they'd pay to take the car off his hands.
More specifically, it was an Audi R8 V10 Plus belonging to YouTuber Harley Perkins, who had previously taken his Tesla to WeBuyAnyCar for a valuation and was shocked to be told it'd been valued at about half what he paid for it a year earlier.
This time around, he was bringing his £74k Audi for a valuation and was thoroughly flabbergasted when he was told how much he'd get if he sold the car to them right then and there.

He told them he was 'literally just driving past' when he thought he'd get a valuation and guided the WeBuyAnyCar bloke to his Audi so it could be checked for its condition.
Unfortunately, Harley didn't seem to like the answer he got.

The YouTuber was told that his fancy set of wheels that he'd bought for roughly £74k would only get him around £58k should he take the offer from WeBuyAnyCar right then and there.

"£58k, are you taking the mick out of me?" the YouTuber said. "It's absolutely ridiculous, oh my god I was about to faint when he said the price. I'm never coming back to this place ever again."
However, his viewers were pretty split over whether or not it was a fair price as some folks reckoned they were 'taking the p**s' and made 'laughable' offers, while others argued that you weren't going to get a much better price on a second-hand car if you were just selling it then and there.
One commenter said that people like Harley were probably 'not their target market', while someone else pointed out that 'they buy to resell' so a seller wouldn't get as much as if they flogged the motor to someone planning on driving it.

Hopping over to AutoTrader, a selection of used Audi R8 V10 Plus cars are on sale for prices ranging between £52,000 and £84,900, though most of them would cost you several thousand quid more than what WeBuyAnyCar offered the bloke.

According to WeBuyAnyCar's website, they take eight different factors into account when figuring out how much they'd offer for a used car.
First, they'll examine the make and model of the car, and then they'll look at how many owners it has had and its current condition.
They'll want to know if it comes with the manufacturer's warranty and how many miles are on the clock, as well as the car's service history.
Any optional extras on the car will make a difference to the price you'll be quoted, and WeBuyAnyCar says it 'use live market data' to determine the current market value.
