The channel, called 'Alicia and Joshua', has a modest 2.73k subscribers on the video-sharing platform, and they 'explore weekly what a happy and godly marriage looks like in today's day and age'.

Consisting of some topical sit down videos and day-to-day vlogs, Alicia and Joshua cover a lot about their lives together.

But a video made in November 2023 titled: "Tips for CELIBACY and waiting until MARRIAGE," featured Alicia sharing some tips about staying sex-free.

She claimed that if you are in a loving relationship and everything is working biologically, 'you probably will experience a temptation to have sex that is so strong' that people saying not to do it, will not be enough.

Alicia said there must be deeper reasons why, sharing hers, which are listed below.

She didn’t want to feel guilty on her wedding night

Alicia states that she wanted 'a clean conscious' on her wedding night so she could be 'fully present and not feel guilty' when consummating her marriage.

To prove to her husband she had self control

She said that she wanted to wait because by staying sex-free, she would be proving to her husband that she has self-control in this area.

Alicia claimed this, in turn, would make him more likely to trust her in other aspects of life.

The couple have been married since 2020.

To make God and herself proud

Linking back to her religion, Alicia also explained: "I also wanted to make God proud of me, and I wanted to make myself proud of me."

She liked the idea of having a build up

Finally, Alicia revealed that she enjoyed the tension, saying: "I also really liked the idea of having that big build-up and that big excitement that was to come."

She said that your reasons may be similar or different to hers, but it is important to find what will keep you going.

In the rest of the video, Alicia also talks about how to find the right man, having good and loyal friends, staying away from sexual media, and much more.
