Brits have hailed an Alton Towers Resort attraction the 'best Halloween event' in the UK - and tickets are now on sale.
As the nights grow darker, the largest theme park in the country is gearing up for the spooky season, and it's sure to be one to remember.
In case you haven't already heard, the award-winning Scarefest is back, with two new experiences on offer for 'the bravest of souls'.

Open until 9pm, it's a fun (albeit terrifying) chance to experience Alton Towers Resort's scariest rides, but you'll need to hurry.
From where to buy tickets to prices and the attractions on offer, find out everything you need to know.
What is Alton Towers Resort's Scarefest?
For those of you who don't know, Alton Towers Resort runs its legendary Scarefest every autumn.
To mark Halloween, the theme park opens its doors until 9pm, so thrill seekers can experience its most hair-raising rides and attractions after hours.
Plunged into darkness, visitors can ride famous coasters such as the Wicker Man and all-new Toxicator. As though that isn't enough to get your adrenalin pumping, there are new attractions on offer too.

Dark Hollow is a new scare zone designed to invite visitors to explore the expanding world of iconic ride TH13TEEN. There's also The Edge of the Forest, a live action scare maze 'designed to push guests to their limits'.
For those of you visiting with children, Trick O’ Treat Town and Amigos in the Afterlife are back, with sweet treats and spooky surprises in store - just make sure to look out for tricks along the way.
As though you needed further convincing, the reviews say it all.
One happy visitor shared on TripAdvisor, "We have been coming to this event for several years and it just keeps getting better and better! The atmosphere was amazing, made even more wonderful by the early morning mist (which looked amazing above the castle whilst riding Smiler first thing). The decorations around the park added to the fun - and the fact that it was actually Halloween made it more exciting!"
Another wrote, "We visited Alton Towers for the annual Scarefest Halloween event. It was absolutely fantastic! Be sure to try the mazes - having done several Halloween mazes in America, I am a staunch critic but have to say, the 'sub species' maze (rated seven pumpkins - i.e. the scariest) blew them all away."
A third simply said, "Alton Towers is definitely the Merlin Halloween event to attend!"
