Fire TV device owners are being urged to replace their old gadgets, as Amazon plans to shut down the popular service.

In case you missed it, the Fire TV Blaster was first introduced back in 2019.

The accessory was designed to enable hands-free voice control for your home entertainment system, turning any TV into a smart TV.

However, due to the introduction of other popular Fire TV devices, such as the Fire Stick and Fire TV Cube, it's no longer required.

The device is no longer sold on Amazon and according to The Independent, the gadget will 'stop working' from January 31.

If you have an old Fire TV Blaster laying around at home, you're eligible for a £34.99 Amazon voucher (the full price of the device), which will be automatically added to your account.

So, if you're one of the few owners left in the UK, what device do you need to buy to keep streaming your favourite content? Find out everything you need to know below.

It operates twice as fast as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and enables viewers to seamlessly switch between apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and more.

You can also play music via the gizmo and even use Alexa to manage your smart home, from turning down the lights and checking the weather to making video calls.

Discover its top features below:

  • Hands-free Alexa with built-in mic and speakers
  • Wi-Fi 6E support for smoother streaming
  • Cinematic 4K support for Dolby Vision, HDR and Dolby Atmos audio
  • Manage smart home from the display: Use Alexa to start video calls, check the weather, and control the lights

If that's a little out of your budget, there is also the option to purchase an Amazon Fire Stick.
