A model living in Dubai has been warned about accepting lavish gifts from wealthy men, amid renewed concerns about alleged 'porta potty parties' in the country.
Following an update in the case of Ukrainian model Maria Kovalchuk - a young woman who was beaten and 'left for dead' after attending a party in the wealthy Gulf nation - the topic of men allegedly paying large sums of money to abuse and degrade women in Dubai is once again in the news.
Behind the luxury and glamour of life in Dubai, young models and influencers are allegedly lured to parties by wealthy men and paid vast sums of money to perform explicit acts.

The existence of 'porta potty parties' has not been verified, however, numerous viral videos talk about allegations of young models and influencers even being urinated or defecated on by ultra-rich men.
According to The Mirror, a number of experts familiar with the situation have shared a list of 'red flags' to be aware of when visiting Dubai as a young woman, these include:
- Offers of large sums of money to travel to Dubai for modelling work
- Invitations to private parties, which include offers of money
- Being offered large amounts of money or lavish gifts
Although it hasn't been confirmed that Kovalchuk was attending such a party - the 20-year-old has reportedly denied such claims - her story has led to a rise in warnings shared with young women in Dubai.

One such woman to receive warnings from well-meaning followers was TikToker Jade (@outplayedbyjade) who recently shared a video revealing she was given expensive gifts from a man attending the same gym as her in Dubai.
In the clip, which had been posted back in June, Jade revealed she was handed a large bouquet of flowers and chocolates on behalf of a guy who'd spotted her on the treadmill.

"I didn't think much of it," she explained, going on to add that she texted the number left on a gift card to say thank you.
Later on, the TikToker said she received a phone call from an assistant at a high-end jewellery shop to say she had a gifted necklace and bracelet waiting for her in the shop.

A clearly flattered Jade then shows her gifts to the camera - believed to cost around £3,000 together - before asking her followers to share their thoughts on the situation.
"He definitely at least deserves a coffee date," she added. "An impression was made."
"Did you here about Maria Kovalchuk," wrote one viewer, prompting numerous other people to echo similar concerns.
"Nothing is for free my dear. He is just payin in advance," claimed a second viewer, while a third warned: "Girl be careful. That’s all I will say."

"This would scare me a looooot tbh," added a fourth.
