If you've spent any time on social media this summer, chances are you've come across the phrase: "If I won EuroMillions, I wouldn't tell anyone...but there would be signs."
It's become one of the internet's favourite trends, and not because anyone's actually planning to announce a life-changing jackpot to the world, but because spotting the wonderfully weird signs that someone might have won is far more entertaining.
Forget buying a mansion – we’re talking about those little giveaways that leave your friends, neighbours and work colleagues raising an eyebrow and thinking: "Hang on a minute…he wouldn’t even buy a round in the pub the other night, so how is he suddenly affording this?”
We asked people what their own telltale signs would be if they scooped the eye-watering £200M EuroMillions jackpot. And let's just say, subtlety isn't everyone's strong point.

"I'd adopt all the rescue dogs."
Forget one new furry friend – this person is planning to become every rescue dog's favourite human. We'd expect a lot of muddy paw prints, an endless supply of tennis balls and enough space to give every four-legged friend the VIP treatment.
"I'd pay someone to put fresh bedsheets on every week."
This might just be the most relatable answer on the list. Because winning EuroMillions isn't always about extravagant purchases – sometimes quiet luxury is simply never having to wrestle a duvet into its cover ever again.
"Every Friday would be takeaway Friday...for my whole street."
Imagine opening your front door to find your neighbour has decided everyone deserves pizza night. That’s one way to turn an ordinary evening on the road into something a little more memorable.
"I'd anonymously pay off everyone's tab at my local pub quiz."
No speeches or fanfare - just the quiet satisfaction of watching an entire pub try to work out who picked up the bill. It should leave the last-place team wondering who on earth just paid their tab.
"I'd hire a party bus to drive me to work every day."
Because even though we’ve become millionaires, we don’t plan on giving up the day job – but we do want to make the commute considerably more entertaining. Rush hour suddenly sounds a lot more appealing when it comes with music, lights, enough room for your favourite colleagues and iced coffee on tap.
"I'd replace my doorbell with someone politely announcing visitors."
Forget a video doorbell. Imagine arriving at someone's house only to be greeted with: "Good afternoon. Mr Smith is expecting you." Completely unnecessary? Absolutely. Brilliant? Also yes.
"I'd have fresh flowers delivered to my nan every Monday."
Sometimes the nicest ideas are the simplest ones, and we're fairly sure this would make every Monday a little brighter.
"I'd hire a mariachi band to play every time I got good news."
Your train actually arrived on time? Mariachi band. The self-checkout didn't find an unexpected item in the bagging area? Mariachi band. Managed to parallel park first time? You guessed it – mariachi band.
"I'd hire someone to remember everyone's birthdays."
No more forgotten cards. No more panic-buying flowers at the petrol station. No more relying on Facebook. Just someone reminding you that your cousin's birthday is next Tuesday before it's too late. Maybe they'll even go out and buy the present for you.
As you can see, there are plenty of great ways to spend your winnings, whether that’s making life easier, making other people smile or simply making your daily commute far more entertaining.
But one thing's for sure: if you won EuroMillions this summer, you'd probably give yourself away.
You might not tell anyone...but there would definitely be signs.
