A cruise line is said to have banned a woman who shared a video of herself 'breaking the rules' on social media.
It seems Carnival Cruise Line spotted a viral clip of one of their passengers aboard the Carnival Conquest at the end of March 2025 breaking one of their most important rules.
It shows recent guest Courtney Murley (@courtneynicolemurley) seemingly smuggling alcohol on board the ship, with the footage racking up over 400,000 views on TikTok.

"Def waited until after I got home to post this! Hahahaha but it worked," she captioned the post.
"Forget a drink package lol….okay we ended up drinking probably what we would of paid for a drink package anyways but still was fun to try and see if the rum runners would work."

Viewers seemingly warned the content creator of what could happen if she shared the clip, as one person said: "You post that stuff they will banned you from cruising with them."
"Wow. The last thing to do is post this and when you get banned whine about it not being alcohol. You ratted yourself out," a second said.

And someone else then asked: "There’s a screenshot of carnival banning you from future sailings on Facebook. Is that real?"
Well, Carnival apparently did see the post and decided to ban Murley from travelling on future cruises, according to a screenshot of a letter shared by the passenger.

"This letter is to inform you that you will not be able to sail onboard any Carnival Cruise Line vessel in the future due to the smuggling of alcohol onboard the Carnival Conquest on March 31st, 2025, and subsequently posting about it on social media platforms," the unverified letter was said to have read.
"Your attempt to book a future cruise will result in cancellation and a possible loss of deposit monies," it added.

Now, here comes the big 'twist'.
In a follow-up post, Murley said she never actually smuggled alcohol on board.
The TikToker insisted that she faked the whole thing because she knew the video would get lots of views.
"What I’m mad about is that they are banning me for something that didn’t happen," she claimed. "They said for smuggling alcohol. I did not smuggle alcohol.

"Not one ounce of alcohol was smuggled onto the ship."
Murley repeated that she did not take 'a single drop' of booze onto the ship with her.
LADbible Group has contacted Carnival and Murley for comment.
