Man shows insane reality of £17,000 a night room in the 'world's only seven star hotel'

A YouTuber showed exactly what you can get if you spend £17,000 per night at Dubai’s most famous hotel.

Traveling can give you the best experiences you’d never think of having.

But it can also be pretty costly.

However, if you’ve got the money to splurge, you might find that it’s worth every penny.

One travel YouTube influencer by the name of Drew Binsky, showed his subscribers what they could expect to experience if they spent $24,000 (£17,000) per night at the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.

It's often unofficially described as the 'world's only seven-star hotel' - though official star ratings only actually go up to five - representing the absolute top tier of luxury.

Drew and his partner took his camera around the giant hotel, which boasts 199 exclusive suites, a 24-hour butler service, and six restaurants.

As the third tallest hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab in Dubai is the epitome of lavish living, and Binsky certainly enjoyed a swanky stay.

He said in the video as he took a video of some of the features: “Check this out. This is the bathroom, and the shower is literally golden.”

He then ventured into the lobby, telling the camera that it gives him ‘Austin Powers’ vibes, with its blue and white patterned walls and intricate carpets.

As for the food and beverages? Gold seemed to be the theme of choice.

Binsky ordered a ’24 karat’ cappuccino with real gold on the top of the foam.

He also ate a dish which seemed to have dry ice emanating from the plate.

Now, whether or not the price was worth it came up more than a few times in the comments, with some thinking it was money wasted. Drew said the room went for $160k a night, though it's widely reported to be slightly more reasonable at $24,000 per night.

One person said: “Rather spend that amount of money travelling parts of the world, where there are beautiful sceneries.”

Another wrote: “It's a rip off. Also you can invest this kind of money. You can start a business with $160k. Buy a house for $100k and remodel it for 60k. Resell it for $300k and make $140k profit.”

However, the hotel has a reputation for being a location for celebrities and businessmen - so it’s probably not tailored to the likes of you and me who can barely afford the Travelodge in Lichfield.

Another expensive hotel that none of us can afford is the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas which can cost $100,000 (£74k) per night.

The suite in question is called the Empathy Suite, and it was designed by British artist Damien Hirst, as well the firm Bentel & Bentel.

Scarily, it features odd artworks in the room, complete with no less than two taxidermy sharks for you to view at your leisure.

The suite occupies an area of 836 square metres and includes a cinema, a 13 seater bar, and a lounge capable of hosting 52 guests.

There’s also a dining room, two large bedrooms and a spa with massage and fitness rooms.

I’m not sure about you, but if I’m forking out $100k on a hotel room, I’m placing my money on the Sin City hotel and not Dubai’s skyscraper.
