Man who has visited every country in the world described a near-death experience after he was caught taking a photo

He recalled the moment where he almost lost his life after taking a photo on a minibus

A man that has travelled to every country in the world recalled some of his 'near-death' experiences while backpacking across the globe.

YouTuber Drew Binsky has almost five million subscribers on the platform and is known for sharing his travelling exploits with followers, as he has visited all 197 countries in the world, and experienced it all.

To make it all more impressive, the American only visited his second country in 2012.

So obviously, having been all around the world, you'd think he had a story or two where his life was in danger - and you'd be right.

In a video titled '5 Near Death Experiences (After Visiting Every Country)', Binsky explained how he found himself in dangerous situations in Russia, North Korea, and Haiti.

However, the story about what happened to him on the streets of Chad is particularly terrifying.

He initially struggles to get into it, but prefaces the event by explaining that he was going through the streets of N'Djamena, the capital, on a motorbike taxi, though because his rider went so quick, Binsky lost his friend and bodyguard, who was on another bike.

After struggling to get the rider to stop, he pulls the brakes himself and gets off, and a fight starts in front of him.

Amid the hectic nature of the city centre, and not having a SIM card or knowing where he was, the traveller gets on a random minibus.

He recalled: "I'm documenting everything, because at this time, I was making videos and I share my honest experiences around the world,

"I catch my breath for a second, I'm holding my camera in my hand so I started taking a picture of this cute little kid in the bus - well, lesson learned." he said.

After not asking the parents for permission to take a picture of the child, everybody on the bus 'freaked out'.

"They were yelling like, 'why you taking this picture without permission', so then I get out of that mini bus and whenever there's commotion, people gather around and figure out that there's something happening," he said.

"Some dude pulls out a knife and is like 'what are you doing here?' like Holy f***!"

Luckily for him, his bodyguard showed up at the right time and puts his arm between them, separating the social media creator from any potential trouble.

"I remember some dude grabbed my shirt and twisted it like this, and broke the seam of my shirt here, so it looked like I had just gotten beaten up," the content creator explained, while showing footage of his shirt.

Binsky thinks that if his friend didn't show up, he would have 'been slashed or robbed, or something even worse'.

But things get worse, though in a light-hearted way: "I didn't even know where my hotel was, can you imagine?

"So we calm down a little bit, he takes me to the shisha bar and I go outside to pee, and I step in a massive pile of human s***, like massive pile.

"It's like everyone pooped in one spot and so then I got back to my hotel later that night and I booked a flight out the next day," he concluded, though Binsky added that he will try to visit Chad again one day soon.
