People who go to ‘spicy island’ explain the rules of new Brit holiday destination

One visitor described the island getaway as 'Disneyland for swingers'

Brits who holidayed at a secretive 'spicy island' have revealed the strict rules which guests are expected to follow.

By now, you're probably more than familiar with the concept of 'spicy cruises', which allow curious couples to experience the 'ethical swinging' lifestyle while sailing the seven seas. Think adult playrooms, upside-down pineapples and strict rules for partner swapping.

But what about the swingers who want to experience these getaways but struggle with seasickness? Well, there's a solution for that—spicy islands.

Arranged by ethical non-monogamy community SpicyMatch, curious British couples can travel to a hidden swingers' paradise, which one very satisfied customer described as 'Disneyland for swingers'.

So here is everything you need to know about this adults-only getaway, including the rules all visitors are expected to follow.

Where is the spicy island?

"The event is held at a secret location – you only find out where it is exactly when you board the boat from the port on the mainland." explained 38-year-old Amanda in a recent interview with The Sun.

The events take part over two weeks on the undisclosed location on Šibenik, Croatia - which operates as a regular tourist destination throughout the rest of the year - with tickets costing anywhere between £1,000 and £2,500, depending on the type of accommodation you choose.

Activities and welcome gifts

Guests can also expect some meals to be included in their ticket, as well as a thorough NSFW roster of activities. These include erotic seminars, how-to classes and numerous 'play zones' scattered across the island.

The 600 guests, which include both couples and singletons, in attendance also receive a welcome gift of essential items needed for their holiday, including condoms and wristbands that distinguish them from staff members.

The rules

However, visitors are also keen to stress that while 'everything goes' on the island, there are also rules in place to make sure everyone feels 'incredibly safe'.

"Nothing happens without consent," the holidaymaker added.

Rules that guests are expected to follow while staying on the island include no nudity in the dining area or reception (everywhere else is allowed) and a strict ban on photographing or filming other guests.

"We're all very conscious of having safe sex and personal hygiene," Amanda, who met her current partner on the island, explained.

"You are completely free from unwanted advances, there's no expectations or pressure like you'd see at a standard night club on a Friday night."

"The meals on the island are communal, so we sit down next to people we think we'll have something in common with," added Katherine, another guest.

"You flirt in the same way as you would in a normal bar or club to see if someone's interested in taking it further."
