A woman who became the most famous 'high class escort' in her own country has explained more about what it took for her to quit the profession.
Amanda Goff sensationally decided to leave her husband behind to start life as an escort in Australia, and soon, her alter ego of Samantha X became known as one of the most successful in the industry, as she even launched her own agency for other women over 40 to cash in on the concept.
While it might seem hard to believe at first, the sex industry in particular is probably more popular than ever, with another mother previously describing why she ditched her life as a teacher to become a 'sugar baby' for rich older men.
On the surface, it seems difficult to deny these women the opportunity to travel and live in luxury in exchange for company or more x-rated activities. After all, without men, the adult industry would likely not exist.

Goff said: "I tried to live this predictable life, of being ‘good’ and ‘well behaved,’ but electricity kept surging through my body. Was this my life now? No more men?

"When my youngest was two, I couldn’t stand it any longer and I pressed the detonate button. My partner and I separated, and we decided to share custody 50/50. I didn’t feel sad, I felt free."
And in Goff's case, she soon became addicted to the attention that the men would give her, as she enjoyed luxury hotels, delicious dinners and champagne with 'perfectly nice' clients.
In a column for the Daily Mail published on Friday, she wrote: "If a man wanted to pay me five grand for dinner (and dessert...) and to be perfectly nice company, then why the hell not?"

However, when she received a medical diagnosis in 2023, she realised that it may have been what drove her into the controversial career, rather than the often eye-watering finances on offer.
She described herself as 'an absolute mess' behind the scenes, and that later led to a bipolar diagnosis, something she feels was perhaps the main cause for her 'frenetic love life' and the constant 'drama' that she found herself in.

Having returned to her career as a journalist and part-time Pilates teacher, Amanda revealed: "Being medicated feels like putting glasses on for the first time and seeing reality clearly after a lifetime of blurred lines.
"It’s a far cry from first-class flights and penthouse suites, but I am the happiest I have ever been. I’ve repaired relationships with family and even met a new man six months ago. I am happy, finally.

"I wasn’t ‘bad at love’ - I was unwell. And now I’m better, I am finally learning what healthy love means, at 51. Better late than never."
Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness that can cause severe mood swings, ranging from impulsivity and manic states to depressive lows, including sadness and a general loss of interest.
It's unclear whether or not she would have left her husband had this disorder been diagnosed earlier, but that desire to satisfy herself with the attention of several clients seems to have now disappeared, after finding herself a new partner.
