Fearless Aussie Alpha Male Punches A Kangaroo To Protect His Dog

In what be one of the most Australian things ever captured on video, footage has gone viral of one man punching a kangaroo in a bid to free his dog.

The source is unclear but it appears to have been uploaded to Facebook by an American who said it'd been sent in from his "buddy in Australia."

The clip shows a thirtyish male dashing over to a kangaroo who has his dog Max in a MMA-worthy headlock.

The kangaroo adds insult to injury by kicking the dog's front legs. Then distracted by the frantic owner, the marsupial frees the dog before squaring up against the man, eventually feeling the revenge of a punch straight to the face.

The 'roo, surprised at the hit, simply stares at the man and his dog before hopping away into the distance to eat a big ol' plate of humble pie.

We have reached out to the kangaroo for his side of the story. He is yet to comment.
