'Man Vs Food' Is Returning But WITHOUT Adam Richman

Is this even allowed?!

Back in the day, why did you watch Man Vs Food? It was to see big massive burgers and claim that you could take it down by yourself.

However, after multiple afternoons watching reruns of the show on Dave, you slowly but surely began to really like Adam Richman.

A modern day hero, able to chow down on mass amounts of food for no reason other than because he wants to, and, somehow, not be hugely obese.

The Travel Channel ended the show back in 2012, as Richman became aware that the amount of eating of fatty foods he was doing was ruining his health, and that one day he would just suddenly turn into a slice of pizza with legs.

However, due to his impeccable appetite and handy presenting skills, Richman didn't move too far away, starting a new program on the Travel Channel called Secret Eats with Adam Richman. Basically it's a bit more healthy and luxurious than having to eat a XXXXXL mixed grill in 20 minutes.

Up until just recently that meant no more Man Vs Food, but creators are clearly willing to give it another shot with a different host, as a new season has been commissioned with Casey Webb.

In a statement on the Travel Channel website, they said: "One of the most popular series on Travel Channel will return with food lover, actor and restaurant business veteran Casey Webb picking up the baton.

"The new season begins production this week and is set to premiere in August. Webb continues the quest to find America's most delicious, unique eats - taking on legendary eating challenges.

"Original host and food fanatic Adam Richman astounded viewers as he braved dozens of incredible food dares for four seasons. Now, Webb will hit the road in search of hometown hot spots with the spiciest, largest and most amazing dishes on their menu."

People aren't so sure on the new appointment, mind you.

Steady on, guys. Let's give him a chance.

Will you be watching?
