Billie Eilish Fans Confused After Noticing Excessive Shin Tape At Glastonbury Performance

Fans are speculating about Billie Eilish's leg tape as she took to the Pyramid Stage tonight.

Fans were speculating about Billie Eilish's leg tape as she took to the Pyramid Stage tonight.

Tonight, 24 June, Eilish became Glastonbury's youngest ever solo headliner.

The 20-year-old is also the first female headliner at the festival since 2016 when Adele took to the stage.

Still, it wasn't just her performance that was drawing attention from fans, it was the tape wrapped around her legs. Yep, tape.

Naturally, people took to Twitter to question what the tape might be, with one writing: "Does Billie Eilish have sports injuries or is the kinesiology tape just a fashion choice?"

While another said: "Why is #BillieEilish wearing kinesiology bands? Hope she’s ok! #glastonburyfestival2022."

A third added: "Anyone know why @billieeilish is wearing kinesiology tape on her calves at @glastonbury? Hardly putting a shift in at @wembleystadium is she?! FFS! #Glastonbury2022."

Another commented: "I'm no physio but I'm pretty sure she's not wearing that kinesiology tape right."

For anyone wondering kinesiology tape is, it's used to help add extra support to muscles and joints following an injury.

Honestly, we had no idea what it was before this performance but then we don't really exercise - or use our muscles for that matter.

Others found comfort in Billie's taped up legs, with one saying: "Can barely draw breath laughing at my husband’s reassurances (while watching the magnificent @billieeilish @glastonbury) that I too am cool because I too have sticky tape on my legs like Billie (mine is a HRT patch people)."

One said it reminded them of their own dodgy knees: "I had tape on my legs like that when I ran the @LondonMarathon last year. Maybe #BillieEilish has got dodgy knees too #Glastonbury2022."

Still, taped up legs or not, Billie gave one of the most incredible headline sets we've ever seen.

And, even though they were confused about the leg tape, those watching felt the same way.

One user wrote: "Only know a couple of her songs, but it’s great to see a 20-year-old woman full of self confidence and being entirely herself bossing Glastonbury. To the complaining older men, she isn’t meant for you. Not everything is for you."

While another added: "Billie Eilish is very impressive isn’t she? Incredible performer, great songwriter, great songs and speaks so profoundly. One of the artists of this generation already at the age of 20."

We wholeheartedly agree and hope the icon enjoys the rest of the weekend at the festival.
