Bloke Has 'Nike' Shoes Tattooed Onto Feet Because He's Tired Of Paying For New Ones

Bloke Has 'Nike' Shoes Tattooed Onto Feet Because He's Tired Of Paying For New Ones

The cost-saving man enlisted the help of South African tattoo artist Dean Gunther to tackle his unique ask.

A man got his favourite 'Nike' trainers tattooed onto feet after he grew tired of replacing his worn-out kicks. Check out his new shoes below:

The cost-saving bloke enlisted the help of South African Dean Gunther (@dean.gunther) to tackle his unique ask after the tattoo artist went viral for inking a realistic six-pack onto a man's stomach.

The 34-year-old, who owns tattoo studio, DG Tattoo Art, in Manchester, impressively drew the trainers’ design onto his client’s feet freehand before making the drawing more permanent with his trusty tattoo pen and ink

The tattoo artist said the design took around two hours to draw and another eight hours to ink onto both feet. Ouch.

Gunther, who moved to the UK five years ago, told NeedToKnow: "I wanted to create the illusion that the person is wearing shoes, even though he's bare feet. It will definitely make you look twice.

"Drawing the tattoo on my free hand was the most challenging part. I had to make sure everything flows with the contours of the body. A stencil would not work in this case, so it's all freehand.

"Once that was on, the tattooing was straightforward," he added.

"He's tired of paying for shoes, so he decided he will get his favourite pair of Nikes tattooed on him and he can see the funny side to it!

"Definitely a great conversation starter. His wife loves it too."

After finishing the session, Gunther shared his handy work on social media and it has since gone viral, earning more than 11,000 views on TikTok alone.

In response to the video, the artist was lauded with praise by commenters for his unique inking.

One social media user quipped: "Save a fortune on trainers."

"Wow, brave man [to do] both feet," another penned, clearly stunned by the customer being able to handle the pain of tattooing his feet.

"Mad as pumps, I love it," a viewer shared.

"They'll last you forever," another said.

"A lil flex seal on the soles and he’s set," another commenter ribbed.

Last month, Dean’s efforts were rewarded when he won Best in Show at the Liverpool Tattoo convention with an African-inspired tattoo that took him three days to complete.

Meanwhile, he recently teased his next tattoo creation with his followers and said it will be one of the most emotional pieces he's ever attempted to draw in hopes of raising awareness for cancer.
