Jennifer Lawrence ran through the streets in her PJs after it was announced that Joe Biden had beaten Donald Trump in the US Presidential election.

The Hunger Games star shared a clip to her Twitter in which she can be seen wearing a pair of pink pyjama bottoms, a grey top, Converse, and a face mask as she screams and runs up and down the street.

Posting the clip, she wrote: "Had no choice but to throw a party for 1 #comeonbostonletsparty."

In the background you can hear plenty of other Bostonians also celebrating, with shouts and cheers in the background of the clip.

Lawrence isn't the only celebrity celebrating Biden's win, with social media flooded with messages congratulating Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris.

Biden and Harris were announced as the winners after five intense days of ballot counting, while the US - and let's be honest, the rest of the world - looked on.

Posting on Twitter the President-elect wrote: "America, I'm honoured that you have chosen me to lead our great country.

"The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans - whether you voted for me or not.

"I will keep the faith that you have placed in me."

Meanwhile, Harris tweeted: "This election is about so much more than @JoeBiden or me.

"It's about the soul of America and our willingness to fight for it. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Let's get started."

But Trump doesn't seem like he's about to graciously accept defeat anytime soon - in a lengthy statement, he accused Biden of 'rushing to falsely pose as the winner'.

Adding: "The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor."
