Charles Bronson’s fake son, George Bamby, recalls the exact moment when he told the infamous prisoner about his plan.

The pair devised a plan, which conned the whole world, as they successfully convinced everyone that Bamby was Bronson's long-lost son.

Bamby has since opened up about the trickery and revealed how it went down when he first approached 'Britain's most notorious prisoner' with the idea.

The dynamic duo got together to embark on the six-year publicity stunt and have since taken the UK by storm, after confirming that the whole thing was made up.

Talk about playing the long game.

Bamby confirmed that he decided to take on the long-term plan to garner a heap of publicity for Bronson, and he had apparently made 'loads of money' from the well-executed stunt.

Bamby broke the news last month (30 March) in an interview with TalkTV, where he discussed the prisoner losing his Parole Board bid to be released from jail.

Bamby, who is a self-described 'PR agent', said that he approached Bronson all those years ago for his assistance in getting 'loads of publicity and make sure he wasn’t forgotten about'.

"Me and Charlie together made up the story that he was my dad," the conman revealed in the interview.

He continued: "Charles Bronson is not my father. I am a PR agent. I’m a marketing person, and I’m the UK’s number one paparazzi.

"I’ve not told anybody this for six years and it’s been an absolute bane of my life."

George Bamby confirmed he is not Bronson's son last month.

While he admitted that he and Bronson 'made loads of money' and 'had loads of fun', alongside manipulating the media and the prison service, Bamby did note that the whole ordeal has 'taken a real toll on [his] life'.

"I didn’t even tell my wife, I didn’t even tell my family, I’ve not even told my friends,"

He continued, "this is the first time now that any of my family and friends are going to hear about it. My wife is sat here now and she looks horrified."

In an episode of the podcast that aired yesterday (3 April), Anything Goes With James English, Bamby spoke some more about 'Britain's biggest undercover story'.

He told the host the exact conversation he had with Bronson six years ago when he first started hatching the plan.

"I need to be involved," Bamby recalled saying to the prisoner at the time, "and I've come up with a plan."

Bronson, who has been no stranger to publicity stunts throughout the years, was unsurprisingly intrigued.

The criminal asked: "What's the plan?" to which Bamby started explaining the mastery behind the con.

"Well, I was born in 1971. Never had any parents, brought up in a children's home, I've never met my dad," he told Bronson.

"You went into prison in 1974," Bamby devised, "so how would you feel about having a little son that you didn't know about before you went into prison?"

According to Bamby, Bronson simply looked at him and responded: "F***ing hell. F***ing genius."

And the rest was history.
