An email uncovered in the Epstein files has suggested what Queen Elizabeth's feelings were following the release of the photo of her son Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Virginia Giuffre.
Giuffre, who died by suicide last year, alleged that she was forced to have sex with the former Duke of York on three separate occasions in 2001 and 2002.
Andrew has continuously denied the allegations and reached a reported £12 million out-of-court settlement with the campaigner against sexual abuse in 2022. The agreement included a substantial donation to her charity for victims' rights, with no admission of liability.
The latest batch of the Epstein files suggests that Andrew emailed Jeffrey Epstein a day after the photo was published in 2011, saying, 'we are in this together'.

ITV News has now reported that David Stern, a close adviser to the then-Prince, wrote to the convicted sex offender that 'he has full support of his mum, only dealing with you was ‘unwise''.

The outlet reports that Andrew was referred to as 'PA' in the emails and that it appears Stern was updating Epstein on the royals' view.
The emails also show that Epstein also wrote in October 2013 to Stern: "I have a very beautiful friend comoing [sic] to london on tues. ANdrew might want to have her for a dinner."
In November 2019, following the Queen's orders, Andrew stepped back from public duties after the widely criticised BBC interview where he claimed he'd stopped contact with Epstein in 2010 after he got out of jail for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
In the emails, however, Stern messages Epstein to say that 'PA [Prince Andrew] sends his birthday wishes and love' in 2014.

Three years later, Elizabeth II stripped her son of all his honorary military titles and royal patronages, and he stopped using the style 'His Royal Highness' in any official capacity.
And then just last year. King Charles III formally stripped his brother of all remaining royal titles and honours, including 'Prince', the Dukedom of York and other honours.
He has been ordered to surrender the lease on Royal Lodge, his Windsor residence, having moved out at the start of the month.
Also in the files, Ghislaine Maxwell - who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors - appears to confirm the photo of Guiffre that Andrew had previously suggested was fake.

Drafting a statement with Epstein to hit back at allegations, Maxwell wrote: "In 2001, I was in London when (redacted) met a number of friends of mine, including Prince Andrew.
"A photograph was taken as I imagine she wanted to show it to friends and family.
"I never asked (redacted) to give him a massage."
Maxwell went on to say there was ‘no knowledge’ of Giuffre ‘having sexual activity’ with Andrew or any other ‘famous people’.
LADbible Group has contacted the Royal Family for comment and was unable to contact David Stern.
