Patrick Clancy’s new wife breaks silence on ‘twisted’ conspiracy theories about him

Patrick Clancy’s new wife has spoken out about the conspiracy theories surrounding her husband following the deaths of his three children.
Patrick’s ex-wife Lindsay Clancy went on trial this summer over the January 2023 deaths of Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan at the family’s home in Massachusetts.
Her defence did not dispute that she killed the children, but argued that she should not be held criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Earlier this month, proceedings ended in a mistrial after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
Whilst Lindsay was facing trial, though, a number of theories also began circulating online about Patrick, with some social media users attempting to claim he was somehow involved in his children’s deaths.
His lawyers have strongly denied the accusations and previously warned that legal action could be taken against those responsible for spreading them.
Now Patrick’s wife, Dr Rachel Danis, has addressed the scrutiny herself during an upcoming 60 Minutes interview alongside her husband.
In a preview clip from the interview, as shared by People, Danis said: “I don’t understand how the story has been so twisted.”
She added: “But I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father, and supportive partner.”
Danis, an infertility specialist, married Patrick in April after the couple reportedly met whilst running in New York.
Addressing their relationship, she said: “I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”
Her comments come after Patrick’s attorney Howard Cooper issued a lengthy statement condemning the allegations being shared online.
Cooper said: “Over the past months, Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign.”
He continued: “This campaign of misinformation has been launched and promoted by minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists who appear intent on boosting their own social media profiles and potential profit by publishing what they know to be outright falsehoods that Patrick was somehow involved in the death of his young children and other vile claims.”
Cooper added that the situation had resulted in ‘real life threats to his reputation, livelihood, and life’.
He said: “Enough is enough -- this spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop
“Those responsible should understand that there will be consequences, and every appropriate measure will be pursued to hold them accountable, including legally. Law enforcement has been notified.”
Patrick is also set to discuss the loss of his children during the 60 Minutes interview.
In another preview, he revealed that he still speaks to the deceased Cora, Dawson and Callan, saying: “I ask them for help, all the time.”
