Man who posed as plastic surgeon and performed 'penis enlargement surgery' jailed after patient dies

Torben K, 46, from Solingen, Germany, performed illegal surgery on a man’s penis and scrotum which left him dying in agony.

A bogus cosmetic surgeon who performed a botched penis enlargement procedure on a man who later died has been jailed.

Catering worker Torben K, 46, from Solingen, Germany, posed as a plastic surgeon and injected the unnamed patient’s penis and scrotum with silicone oil. The 32-year-old victim was seeking greater girth but died of sepsis seven months after the horrific procedure was done in July 2019.

The unfortunate patient, who was not named in court, spent months in agony, before dying in February 2020.

The court heard how Torben K had zero medical qualifications but offered penis enlargement services online which he then carried out at his home in Solingen, a city nicknamed the 'City of Blades'.

According to the victim’s sister, who is 29-years-old, her brother had doubts about the procedure, but Torben K convinced him to go through with it.

Instead of leaving with a bigger phallus, he began experiencing breathing difficulties as soon as he returned home following the procedure.

The ill-fated man visited several hospitals but eventually died of blood poisoning - as well as liver and kidney failure. Prosecutors said he spent months in agony in a specialist intensive care unit.

Investigations showed that Torben K also gave a second man life-threatening injections in March 2023. When asked by officials, Torben K refused to reveal the type of silicone oil he used.

Torben K claimed in court that he had only done what the unnamed man asked for. However, High State Prosecutor Wolf-Tilman Baumert, told local media: "Unfortunately, the silicone oil ended up in the person's bloodstream. This led to severe health complications and, eventually, to his death."

He also said: The fact that the man asked for the treatment is irrelevant from our point of view. The defendant acted in a highly immoral manner."

On Monday (28 August), judges in Wuppertal district court jailed Torben K for five years after he was found guilty of causing death by grievous bodily harm - although the verdict is not yet legally binding.

Penis enlargement, when done properly, is a type of cosmetic procedure that is done either by using devices, medication, or other techniques to attempt to increase the length or girth of a penis.

Penis enlargement surgery is only available on the NHS if you have a micro-penis, which is one that is less than three inches in length when erect, according to Chemist Click.

The procedure must be carried out privately if the patient does not have a diagnosed micro-penis.
