Daisy Edgar-Jones has spoken out about fans drawing comparisons between her and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn.

Both are known for their intricate, captivating and delicate portrayals, with Edgar-Jones having been flung into the spotlight by the 2020 BBC Three series Normal People and Quinn by season four of the supernatural Netflix hit Stranger Things.

However, both actors' powerful and popular performances aren't the only thing fans have noticed they have in common.

In a recent game of 'Ask Me Anything' with ELLE UK, Edgar-Jones joked she's 'apparently [...] really great in the most recent season of Stranger Things'.

The 24-year-old continued: "Everyone is saying I look like Joe [Joseph] Quinn, who is brilliant in that series. I do see the likeness.

"I think we could play brother or sister. That was quite funny. Everyone is like 'Oh my God, you’re in Stranger Things'."

Indeed, fans of the Stranger Things and Normal People stars have been quick to point out the similarities between the two on Twitter.

"Has anyone talked about the fact that Daisy Edgar Jones and Joseph Quinn look identical or is it a secret," one user joked.

Another said: "Joseph quinn is not the mix of anyone he's literally daisy edgar jones."

Calls have also been growing for the pair to play siblings.

"Love that Daisy Edgar Jones not only realized how much Joseph Quinn and her look like siblings but that she thought he was brilliant as Eddie on 'Stranger Things'!!! Also love that Jack Black loved him too," a third commented.

As well as looking very similar to Quinn, Edgar-Jones also revealed she received messages from people who thought they'd seen her on stage in New York with singer Phoebe Bridgers - who is in a relationship with Edgar-Jones' Normal People co-star Paul Mescal.

Edgar-Jones said: "So somebody came out with a fringe and sang on one of the songs and everyone was saying they thought it was me.

"That was quite funny."

Daisy Edgar-Jones rose to fame after starring in BBC's adaptation of Normal People.

While Quinn's fate in the final season of Stranger Things remains in the balance, a drama he stars in named Hoard, directed by Luna Carmoon, is in post-production. Quinn plays a character named Michael.

Edgar-Jones has most recently taken on the role of Kya Clark in an adaptation of the 2018 novel by American author Delia Owens Where the Crawdads Sing.

Produced by 3000 Pictures and Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, the mystery drama is currently set for release on 22 July, 2022.
