Deliveroo Driver Sacked For Mocking Woman's Delivery In Cruel Video

Deliveroo Driver Sacked For Mocking Woman's Delivery In Cruel Video

The driver posted the video to Instagram and was widely criticised

A Deliveroo driver has been sacked after he shared a video of him humiliating a customer over their order.

The man was slammed by people after filming himself handing over a Boots order to a woman and posting the footage to social media.

In the 30-second video, which was shared to Instagram, the driver can be seen giving the customer a bag containing anti-fungal cream Canesten.

The ointment is often used to treat conditions such as vaginal infections, like thrush.

Making light of the purchase, the Deliveroo driver says: "Someone's got some problems downstairs, man."

During the short clip, the woman can be seen leaving her student accommodation in Cambridge to go and pick up her order.

Jordon De Silva posted the video to Instagram.

When the driver asks her what the cream is for, she says: "It's medicine."

He then asks: "Oh, what for? What do you use it for? Face?"

After telling him that it is indeed face cream, the driver replies: "It's face cream is it?"

After the woman walks away, the driver then says: "Oh okay. Right, see ya," before turning to the camera and laughing.

The video was posted to Instagram under the handle @traptendo.

After it began doing the rounds, a woman later posted the clip to Twitter, hitting out at the driver for his behaviour.

She wrote: "This @Deliveroo driver decided to open this woman’s package, record her and mock her for its contents.

"Men continue to have the f****** audacity.

The driver asked the woman what she had ordered.

"Like she’s probably ordered it through Deliveroo because buying it in person would be embarrassing and he’s gone out of his way to make her uncomfortable AND post it online ?????"

Following the incident, Deliveroo issued an apology to the woman, and confirmed that the man no longer worked for them.

In a statement to Twitter, the delivery service said: "Rest assured we will be reaching out to the customer, investigating immediately and will no longer work with this rider."

The driver has been approached for comment.
