While many people have been struggling to get their hands on some pasta in supermarkets, others have taken the opportunity to think outside the box a little... having turned to Ann Summers' Penis Pasta instead.

The pasta proved to be such a huge hit that it sold out online, but don't worry, Ann Summers has done the right thing and re-stocked following the higher-than-ever demand, meaning you can get back to spicing up your dinners. Penis bolognese, anyone?

The lingerie and sex toy retailer has even teamed up with Italian chef Aldo Zilli to come up with a delicious wild garlic pesto to go with it:

Zilli said: "In times like these, it's important we look to have some fun and smile where we can. In a turn of events, I am excited to be teaming up with Ann Summers to share a delicious recipe for cooking with their best selling Penis Pasta, providing ultimate meal-inspiration.

"Try it out for yourself whilst the pasta is back in stock online Annsummers.com."

Ann Summers CEO Jacqueline Gold recently announced that stores would be closing, but the online service would remain open for as long as possible.

In a statement she said: "These are unprecedented times, we are all living through something none of us have ever dealt with before, I want to assure you my whole AS family are working around the clock to make sure we make the right decisions for all of us in this ever-changing situation.

"To keep you, our customers - and our family safe, we've decided to close our stores for now. Stores will close on the afternoon of Sunday 22nd March and all colleagues affected will remain on full pay until at least the end of April.

"I'd like to take this moment to thank all of them for their unwavering support during these past weeks."

Gold said the digital store annsummers.com would continue to operate, and that it would be here where customers could receive updates and advice, as well as on social channels.

She added: "We may be kept apart in the physical sense but you won't miss out on those years of expertise you know and love from our awesome store teams and legendary party ambassadors.

"We look forward to welcoming you back in person to our stores when the time is right but, for now, the priority for us all has to be to stay safe. Let's look after each other."
